I suppose this comes down to just how tough one thinks the autoshields on a GL ring are. I personally do not think they could stand up to a blitz from Superman.

jesus christ guys, has the green lantern vs superman been this one sided? how have they faired in the comics? im sure its not been this one sided in the comics. has lantern ever taken a clean win against supes? are bricks really a lanterns kryptonite?
Its DC..what do you mean? Literally every single comic revolves around Superman or a clone of Superman being stronger than everybody else.. A lantern isnt beating superman.
Come on dude, that's not what is being said. Superman isn't merely a brick, he's a brick who can blitz you at incredibly high speedst. If Superman is going all out he can blitz a GL before they can amp their shields. They have autoshields yes, but I do not think they are strong enough. Against a normal brick they'd have time to amp their shields. Superman, when he does fight GL's, tends not to be going all out. A GL can f*ck Superman up if he just stands there and takes it.
My memory is fuzzy, but there have been times when Superman has required protection from a GL. Like I think John Stewart helped shield him from a bunch of anti matter bombs. But again, that requires some thought into it. With enough time a GL could absolutely do a lot of damage. We saw Kyle contain Ultraman and others on the moon, right?

He broke out of Alan Scott's constructs right? Yeah..but I think a GL who puts some effort in and has time to plan could at least contain Superman. It won't be easy, but I think it can be done. At least..a GL with a strong enough will.
