Spawn Official Feats, Features and Respect Thread

Welcome to the Spawn Feats, Features and Respect thread. I decided a long long time ago to go to through this lengthy ordeal, because as it happens, Spawn is one of my favorite comic book characters (if not THE most fav.) . It really hurt a while ago when the forum was plagued by a guy called Spawnrules to see how ignorant some people are, not only the fanboy, but also people that simply don?t know and don?t care to find out about Spawn.
Anyway, this thread is going to contain pictures, coupled with details, coupled with issue numbers, just so people don?t think I?m being selective or anything.
Before I start, I?m going to explain how this thread works. I?m going to break the feats up into three categories.
You see, there are three major timelines in the history of the Spawn character.
From issue #1 to issue # 100 (Milestone Spawn kills Malebolgia)
From issue #101 to issue # 120 (A Season in Hell4 Cogliostro becomes the new ruler of Malebolge, the eighth layer of Hell)
From issue # 121 to now.
I call them the first age, the second age and the third age, and I might use these denominations later on in order to make sure people are aware of what?s going on. What IS going on? Well, I?ve taken the time to break the feats up into these three separate timelines because of a few reasons.
During the first age, Spawn?s feats are numerous, but only as a consequence of there being 100 issues in it. Other than that, there aren?t as many as you may think. That?s not it though. The feats aren?t as good as the ones in the other period. Why is this? Because:
Spawn makes a deal with Malebolgia. He gets the spawn powers and acts as a tool for Malebolgia and in return he gets to see his wife again. Thing is he gets screwed by Malebolgia, cause when he is returned to earth, it?s been 5 years since he died and his wife not only got remarried (to his best friend), but has also had a baby. Anyway. The deal is that when Spawn returns to Hell he will be a mindless drone working for Malebolgia in the army against Heaven. Spawn doesn?t want that. There are two ways in which Spawn will be returned to Hell:
1. He gets killed.
2. He uses up his power reserve. See, Malebolgia gave him great power, and he was not only able to use it, but encouraged to do so, because Malebolgia wanted him to come back to Hell.
So now take these things into consideration:
1. You?ve just been returned to Earth after having been killed. Memories are hazy, etc. etc. You know you have awesome powers, but you don?t know what they are. You could hang around and try to find out by using them, but by using them you condemn yourself.
2. You eventually find out some scope of your powers, but if you use them to their full potential you are condemned.
3. You are so confused that you can?t even comprehend the full scope of your powers.
So that?s the deal with the first age. The feats are rare and not so very impressing. Spawn was a confused character, that didn?t know his full powers, didn?t know how to use his neural symbiote costume properly, and even if he did, it would drain him and therefore condemn him.
During the second age, after Spawn kills Malebolgia, his feats may be few in number, but they?re a lot more wicked. He begins to comprehend the scope of his powers, he gains some new powers, and the whole ?Can?t spend too much? thing is gone, seeing as how he?s killed the guy he didn?t want to serve. This period of time is the one where he has some of his cooler feats, the ones where he lets loose and doesn?t stop.
The third age is pretty much going back to the first age. Everything becomes a hell of a lot more challenging.
During the first and the second age, Spawn?s ?body? on Earth is a thing made up of necroplasm, the ?matter? that makes up hell. His real body, that of Al Simmons is buried in the grave. Being made up of necroplasm, Spawn was pretty much impossible to kill. Only through decapitation (which was incredibly hard to do) or through the powers of heaven focused in an angel hunter?s lance. Those were the only way to kill him.
In the third age however, Cogliostro, aka Cain, the first killer, becomes the new ruler of Malebolgia. He decides to send Spawn back into the world, only this time with his human body. He still has access to his powers and the neural symbiote suit, but underneath it all he has a human body. It?s kind of like he used to be Deadpool (regenerative abilities taken into consideration), but now he?s a human that can turn into deadpool, and if he turns back he suffers all the injuries full force.
This means that he?s a LOT more cautious not to get his ass kicked, because it would mean death. However, the stacks get higher and higher. Everything is harder to beat, and so on, he gets injured more and more often. Not only that, but his powers aren?t quite as formidable as they were back in the second age or in the first age. He has more versatility, but a LOT less raw power.
So now, let?s get to it???time for some Spawn respect 😄
