I really like Midnighter. I've got the Stormwatch Trade Paperback, I have every Authority comic published, and all of Midnighter's solo series.

He can't take Wolverine. Their speed is about equal, Logan's more skilled, Midnighter may be stronger, but Wolverine's healing factor MORE than makes up the difference.

Wolverine could beat either of team 2, as could Colossus.

Hence, team one wins this. And often.

No I assume to a curb stomp becuase either person from team one could take either person from team two.

Now add in the fact kitty was killed in front of them and you make teams two chances of victor lower quite a bit.

an enraged colossus would make pritty short work of thing.

a berserker wolverine would make pritty short work of midnighter.
