that's not to say stranger>galactic levels of power though, just to be clear. he's had MANY lesser showings to mix in with a couple of high ones. i'd give this to odin for a very solid majority.
True, I almost forgot that Stranger was even in Astonishing Thor lol. Although he did require certain tech and formulae from the Collector in order to create Ego/Alter-Ego: http://imgur.com/4RKitjp http://imgur.com/X1MjmPv
Stranger stalemated Pluto in his own realm, and feigned defeat because he realized the battle would have lasted way too long as Pluto was steadily being supplied with power.
Which indicates he is below Zeus. And thus below Odin.
It implies that Stranger created Ego/Alter-Ego and imbued them both his own personality... Which we knew.
He still needed Collector's resources to create them, though.
I see where you're coming from, but I personally wouldn't rank Stranger among the confirmed galactic-level beings simply because of a few high-end feats and bios from one of his creations. /shrug

fair enuff. i think ego has some pretty inconsistent feats as well and the stranger retcon doesn't really make sense in some ways and caused a little inconsistency with his character both in regards to what he once told thor and in the fact that he was considered (iirc) to be one of the elders of the universe which would actually make him OLDER than the stranger. in any event, i def wouldn't put stranger above ego. same level? maybe, but if i were forced to choose, i'd take ego in a straight up battle (barring any plot device because stranger was his maker....)
Yeah, apart from that, The Stranger got owned by juggernaut with a punch, and wasn't doing that well against the rest of the team in X-Men Forever (v1), same thing against a weakened silver surfer in his 1st series, not too well against overmind in Quasar, etc.... he has many low showings.
He's meant to shine when he gathers with the other members of the cosmic hierarchy, though.
