Believe it or not, Tom DeFalco actually once wrote a story where Thor easily took down Rachel as the Phoenix. I remember reading a ton of complaints about the incident shortly after the book was released -- so much so that Bob Harris apologized and offered a No-Prize to the first fanboy/girl who came up with a band-aid fix.
Took me a while to find it online, but here it is.
Even as a parrot she'll attempt to dry-hump Franklin . And if Hickman's SHIELD glance at AoU is true , then its indisputable that Franklin's a pimp for the redhead psycho dames .
Believe it or not, I actually remembered this and mentioned it on the forums, the apology that is, and posted a scan of it from Thor's letters page. Here it is, it was from the Letters Page of Thor 430 : (please log in to view the image)
Yup.
Back on topic, even though I KNOW Franklin wins, do you guys remember that X-Men arc Days for Future Present : http://marvel.wikia.com/Days_of_Future_Present
Basically in it, the Adult Franklin from Rachel's future travels back into 616 reality and starts messin' around. His body was destroyed by Sentinels in the future so to get around he used a Dream Body created by his younger 616 self and to fuel his powers he used his rapport with Rachel to draw on her Phoenix powers. 616 Kid Franklin was in a coma because of this and Rachel would get weakness fits anytime Fututre Franklin did anything major with his (really HER) power because he was draining it from her.
I found it amazing that he didn't (couldn't?) draw power from his younger self to keep his Dream Body "alive" and needed Rachel's power to do it, keep in mind he DEFINITELY had access to Kid Franklin's abilities since he stole Kid Franklin's "Dream Self" and forced him into a coma.
It was a cool story arc.

DoFP Franklin was weaksauce . I mean you could assemble a million of him , and even then he couldn't match Hickman's adult Franklin . Guy was getting killed by a bunch of Sentinels ffs .
He was completely unaffected by Sentinels because he wasn't a "real" person in the sense that he had no physical body.
Or do you mean when he was killed in the future? Franklin from Rachel's future claims he never had powers (well until right before he was killed he developed them) : (please log in to view the image)

In the original Days of Future Past storyline, mutants (regardless of their power level) were forced to wear inhibitor collars. That was why DoFP Franklin exhibited no powers and was killed by a Sentinel.
The subsequent Days of Future Present story changed things up a bit though suggesting that in the brief moments before DoFP Franklin was killed by the sentinel, his dreamself (astral incarnation) escaped and somehow followed Rachel to Earth-616. So, yeah, the version of Franklin we see in Days of Future Present is merely a dreamself (an astral form) who siphoned some energies from both Rachel and Young Franklin-616.
Nope, I am referring to the instance in which he got killed by a Sentinel while rescuing Rachel : (please log in to view the image)
He didn't have powers because of a power-suppressing collar(as Doon explained above) . Either ways, he's one of the weakest incarnations of the character to date .
