documentary films

i've watched a few really brilliant documentary based films recently and was wondering if anyone could recommend any more

lately ive seen

billabong odyssey http://www.billabongodyssey.com/# check out the trailer...especially the last few frames after the guy mentions the 100 ft wave


winged migration

also rewatched the series the blue planet

all superb...anyone recommend any good ones?

From a surfing pornographic level, The Billabong Odyssey is mind-boggling, but if you think about the ethos behind it, then it doesn't have much to do with real surfing.

Check out 'Step Into Liquid' for the love/stoke of surfing and 'Riding Giant's for the history of the world's greatest watermen. The Laird section alone is worth it.

strangely enough im not even remotely a fan of surfing but billabong odyssey was just spectacular...
