wonder woman wins this. its hard to tell who is stronger as they are both sometimes said to be second to superman but I'd say WW. does she get any of her weapons in this fight?
Cap is stronger, but the weapons do help her. But he has taken attacks that turned him inside out, and was fine later. So, barring a lucky lasso trick, i'd say Cap 6.5/10
Well, with classic Cap, WW has the option of getting her lasso around him and causing him to change back to Billy Batson. Or the Medusa Head. Both are very cheap, but they're effective.
Meh.. she has her own strength feats. Helping to lift the Spectre, the moon and planet towing with Superman et al, bracing Asmodel's chariot etc.
I'm not saying either one is stronger, I see them equal enough in strength for there to be no significant advantage e.g. Thing vs Colossus.
Low rung top tier though? What do you define as top tier then.
Along with Superman, she briefly prevented it from falling (which would actually be harder to do than merely lift it) and Kyle just simply made a tunnel underneath him.
Who's stronger is debatable, but it's not like the strength difference is so great that it would be the determining factor here. No matter who's stronger, WW still has her weapons and fighting skills.
What do i consider top tier?? Class 100, pretty much.
But i do believe there are sub classes within tiers.
Top Tier
Low Top Tier- WW, Maxima, Mongal and Cap Atom, Firelord, Hulk(starting off)
Middle Top Tier- Thor, BRB, Supergirl, Jonn, Surfer, Morg, Mortal Hercules and others.
Elite Top Tier- Superman, Black Adam, Cap Marvel, Hulk(enraged), Orion, LightRay, True Hercules, Doomsday, Stardust and others.
Those are divided by stats. Not overall formidability, but stats. Physical comparisons.
She's still top tier. Just not the elite. And while she is considered number two to Supermans one, thats editorial mandate.
Same mandate that says Superman is the most powerful being on a planet that has Dr. Fate on it.
Marvel has shown repeatedly, to have what it takes to put him down.
And the fact that he's shown as Supermans equal, while she's only EVER been shown to be in the general ballpark is what cinches it for me at least.
Where do "barely there" CL100s fit into your subclasses? E.g. Thing or Colossus. Or people like Namor who can lift somewhere in the range of 100s of 1000s of tons on a good day.
I don't consider Captain Marvel significantly stronger than WW sufficient to be classified any differently, or vice versa.
I can concede to the logic of skill and weapons. But i will always maintain that he's significantly physically superior to her. To the same degree Superman is.
And Thing and Colossus aren't nearly there class 100s.
Thing gets by in his matches with Hulk, due to his skill and thinking. He will always lose a slugfest with Hulk. Always.
Colossus...........LMAO!! You think Colossus is nearly there?! Bwahhahh!
Colossus is the most pitiful brick i can think of in the mainstream. Colossus is about Class 85, as is Thing.
Namor would probably beat WW in the Water.
Outside he's still strong, but not enough to be considered top tier, imo.
But when he's good, he's really good.

most places i read up on, cos i don't read much DC, states that WW is stronger. plus she has a connection with the earth right so she can lift pretty much anything on the planet? WW wins this.
You're free to maintain that, but there's nothing to strongly indicate any significance to difference in strength levels. Error bars would overlap and p values are greater than 0.05
You didn't answer my question on Thing, Namor and Colossus. Do you put WW in the same subclass of CL100 as Thing and Colossus?
