It's so funny that you think a tank masher could beat a continent lifter in a fist fight!!!

I made a thread during the summer that pitted Supes against every single hero/villain portrayed in comic films and not even their combined might could come close to phase Supes...these 3 stand no chance.

That small island wasn't quite a continent. But movie Supes has the most impressive strength and durability feats.

It was said his strength was unlimited. The only problems he had lifting anything was because of grip.
One thing to add: Hulk wasn't exactly a slouch in strength either. He was leaping across the US with little effort, and was completely calm.

Such is my judgement

Superman could just sit there unharmed and drink his morning coffee while the team tries to slug him down. When he gets bored he could pimp slap them all over the place.

Movie Supes was inconsistent as hell. He had trouble lifting the plane.

Not really. He basically only had trouble 'cause he pulled off the wing of the plane...

I realize it wasn't Asia or anything like that, but on the maps it was quite large. Bryan Singer stated that in order to show Superman actually lifting the land mass w/ him actually in the shot, he had to reduce the size of the continent smaller than it actually was. That, plus the goddamn thing was laced with freakin' kryptonite...
Still though, in one of the other movies, didn't Superman push the moon around?
Movie Superman>>>>>>>>>>>>>These guys. I don't even know why the laughing stock (Thing) is even in this fight.

If I remember correctly, Hulk wasn't even able to bring down a fighter jet before he passed out.
Supes actually stopped a damn out of control airplane pretty easily.

This is the same Superman that flew around the Earth so fast it turned back time.

It wasn't shown though. He struggled a lot with objects that movie Superman could destroy w/ his pinky.
You think Superman had good leverage when he was moving a land mass that was laced w/ KRYPTONITE?

AT BEST he was moving a few miles per leap.

Movie Supes is more of the boyscout than his other incarnations so I don't see him burning Hulk with heat vision and I don't remember him using super speed in any of his battles. Movie Supes has also seemed a bit more vulnerable to physical attacks as seen in Superman II. Anyway, Superman has higher feats of strength and durability. The movie version lifted the San Andreas Fault and Batdude's continent . His durability feats include tunneling through the super heated Earth to stop the earthquake and flying through the exploding gas line to stop a gas explosion.

That's because he was fighting three other Kryptonians.

Speed was not the reason I made that comment.

This is what I think of the straight face!

In the second movie he seem a bit hurt from stopping that bus where it pushed him into the truck. How about in the 3rd movie when he was fighting that goofy robot?
