Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
I'd argue they do on "powerless" characters. We get skill and speed loopholes that account for the gulf of physical strength between genders, unless you are talking about the speed rumor, and the fact that Men technically have more quick twitch muscle fibers this are also faster.
Women like Lady Shiva and Elektra are considered some of the highest martial artists in their respective universes. At that high a level, skill is what matters in comics.
And lets not forget comic books feature pre pube boy crime fighters beating on fully grown, overmuscled thugs and villains.
It was kind of ridiculous, how puny Jason Todd sends a guy built like HHH flying with a simple punch.
