Morlun Vs. Rogue

Both have vampiric life-draining abilities. Both are around Class 50 (this is an estimate with Morlun). Rogue can fly. Morlun is, apparently, fast enough to beat down Spider-Man consistently. I honestly don't know who I'd pick.

Who wins?

I think morlun beats her ass unless she could absorb him.

Well the only reason Spidey wasn't strong enough and the reason his punches didn't work on him was because Morlun was born to feed of him right? So everytime he punched him he got weaker and Morlun got stronger.

And i assume were using Ms. Marvel rogue since you said she could fly and is around class 50?

if thats the case Rogue flies up flies back down and smacks or kicks him into unconsciousness. He isn't going to be feeding of a Rogue since she has no animal totem figure or her powers didn't come from a animal.

unless this is fire rogue? Then she would be dead

Morlun took a lot more than punches from Spider-Man and he did prove his strength (to a certain extent)

I don't think he's class 100.... but he certainly seems to be around 50 minimum

still isn't anything I haven't seen Ms. Marvel Rogue take or do.

So i say there about even in the strength and durability department. But Rogue has the advantage in flight.

So I'll guess I'll still give it to her.

Anyone think that she can absorb his powers? she's absorbed Juggys before right? Why shouldn't she be able to do it to him.

Well i did say that i ranked him around class 50.... which is the same as Rogue and Warbird

Morlun can't fly.... but his ground speed is obviously much faster than Rogue's

Plus in a few scenes (not ones i posted) he's seen just standing in the middle of flames with no discomfort.... i don't know what Rogue's resistance to fire is so i can't compare them there

As for absorbing... he's seen to take people's life force from the slightest touch.... i wouldn't want to test out which was going to work first if i was Rogue

Which people? I only have a few of JMS run. since when he started was about the time I got out of comics. Only got back last august.

I thought it was just People with a animal totem or who got there powers from animals?

Then guess this match depends on who uses there advantages better.

Rogue with her flight and Morlun with his speed on the ground.

I heard power draining a another power drainer never goes right with Rogue.

They usually are both sent back knocked out. at least thats what I hear.

Actually i think Morlun is lot stronger than class 50, remember the first time he ran into Spidey and he remarked on how Morlun punched even harder than the Hulk

many poeple doeant want to believe that morlun is a very powerful villian. But he is. And he is a villian I really like, no plans or plots just attack and fight.

and Spidey's punches never hurt him.... until he "tainted" his bio energy with radiation which goes a long way to helping the argument that Morlun just seemed that strong to Spider-Man as he absorbed his energy everytime they made contact

i've got all of Morlun's appearances and i went through them the other day for those scans..... nowhere does he actually do anything to show class 100 strength

Good posts all. And yeah, between the durability feats and speed feats, I think Morlun's higher-level than most give him credit for.

Class 100? Probably not. The draining affect on Spidey accounts for the "harder than Hulk" comments.

I can't see Rogue confounding Spidey like that...but she does have some good feats of strength and durability. I'd give it to Morlun, though not by much.

Did she lose her 'orginal' strength, durabilty, flight when she absorbed Sunfire?

and how powerful are Sunfires fire based powers compared to other flame manipulators?

As hot as the Sun. He's far more "hot" than Human Torch.

His normal blasts can be as hot as the Sun. Torch on the other hand has to expend all his energy to so....

So Rogue is technically 'more powerful' now?

Yep.

I still don't like it. Rogue to me is always a flying, tank-throwing Southern strongwoman....
