Whats your proof that snake would win...look punisher has been taken out supers for thirty years now...spiderman, daredevil, wolverine, though he might not have won all the time he has won some of the time and that is saying alot...snake couldn't touch these guys...frank has more experience thirty plus years of non stop war...thus frank better in a shot out, even though snake is a super soldier it doesn't mean that he is better than frank...frank has proven himself to be meta human in durability (being shot multiple times and still fighting and winning, performing surgery on himself, being beat up by a dozen men, having dd beat the shit out of him and still fighting, the russian, ext.) he is an expert tactitian and fights dirty, real dirty...and why the hell do i have to explain all this just go to the respect thread and you'll see it all there...is it that hard to believe frank can win, he gets no respect here really...and where is your proof mider, you just say frank will lose...that argument for marv is all i need to prove you have no knowledge of the punisher...
even though he can do those things he is not on the stealth level that solid snake is ive never heard of frank being able to hide from anyone and killing them or hurting them while they dont even know he's there, solid snake also takes on genetically altered beings, ones that can block bullets with a sword also he has to take on guys with heavy duty arselanl such as galet guns and the like he also had to take on a cybernetic ninja if anything there equal. people should give more info on solid snakes enemies and franks as well.
Psycho Mantis is a psychic expert for the FOXHOUND unit, who is also known as The Dream Robber. Prior to joining FOXHOUND, he worked with the KGB and the FBI. His special abilities include the psychic powers of psychokinesis and telepathy.
Psycho Mantis was born in a small Russian village before the collapse of the Soviet Union. His mother died giving birth to him, which made his father resent and hate him. He discovered his father's true emotions one day while accidentally reading his mind. He wondered if his father would kill him, and the shock of this revelation awoke his sub conscious, and inadvertently caused the deaths of everyone in the village (approx. 1,000 people). This release of psychic energy caused severe burns across his body, particularly his face. He was then taken into custody by the KGB, who found his psychic powers impressive. He was taught to control his abilities and became a KGB spy.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mantis was drafted as a psychic profiler by the FBI. He moved to the United States and began to work immediately for the FBI. He would enter the minds of a suspected killer and uncover the truth about their crimes. He eventually delved too far into the mind of a serial killer, and the killer's thoughts infected his mind, driving him insane. This created a violent multiple personality called the parasite.
The parasite caused Mantis to go into killing rages, but he found he could use his mental abilities to control his alternate personality. This greatly reduced his psychic abilities, so after he was recruited by FOXHOUND, he let the parasite roam free in his mind, allotting him even greater psychic ability.
By this time he had taken to wearing a gas mask, partially to hide his deformed facial features, but also to prevent the thoughts of others from entering his mind involuntarily.
In the current incarnation of FOXHOUND, its members (Liquid Snake, Vulcan Raven, Revolver Ocelot, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, and Decoy Octopus) grew tired of their roles as puppets to the government, and attacked Shadow Moses Island, a nuclear disposal facility. Psycho Mantis used his powers to gather the aid of the Genome Army, a group of genetically enhanced soldiers. However, upon his death, Mantis reveals he has never had any interest in the ideals that the rest of the revolutionaries have; he, driven by the Parasite within him, just wanted "an excuse to kill as many people as he could".
During the Shadow Moses island incident, Mantis attempts to stop Solid Snake's progress, at first taking control of Meryl Silverburgh, then revealing himself. Psycho Mantis is ultimately defeated by Snake, and tells Snake of his past before revealing the route ahead in his dying moments. He remarks that it is the first time he has used his powers for good, and that it felt "nostalgic" (in the English original translation of the game, "kind of nice").
Psycho Mantis was ultimately defeated by Solid Snake. Although Mantis was put into the FoxDie program, it had no effect on him. It is believed to be due to his wearing of a mask.
he has also been shown to take over peoples minds and use TK smashing a wall during battle.

Vulcan Raven is a member of FOXHOUND who wields a giant vulcan cannon and has shaman powers. Raven was born to Alaskan Indian and Eskimo parents, though he hates the word “Eskimo” used by white men. He had a large tattoo like raven birthmark across his forehead, and so he was raised as a shaman by his people (Eskimos and Inuits worship the raven as the creator).
He graduated from the University of Alaska, and spent a few more years living in his homeland. He took part in the Eskimo-Indian Olympics, and won many “Ear Pull” contests (an event where two opponents pull each other's ear while enduring the harsh cold, intended to test both spiritual and physical strength).
Eventually, he left Alaska and went to Russia. He joined the Russian Special Forces unit Vympel and met with Revolver Ocelot there. After the fall of the Soviet Union he was demoted by President Boris Yeltsin after a failed coup attempt in Moscow in 1993.
He decided that he would not stay after this, and left Russia to become a mercenary for hire. It was then that he joined Big Boss' mercenary-dispatching company, Outer Heaven. The destruction of Outer Heaven was Solid Snake's first mission, but Raven and Snake did not meet on this occasion, nor did they meet during the Zanzibar Land operation. After the death of Big Boss, he joined FOXHOUND thanks to the recommendations of Revolver Ocelot.
During his FOXHOUND years he took an M61 Vulcan cannon (a machine gun usually mounted on F-16's.) as his weapon of choice, and carried a huge barrel of ammunition on his back. He is 210 cm (nearly 6 ft. 11 in.) tall.
The most recent incarnation of FOXHOUND (Liquid Snake, Vulcan Raven, Revolver Ocelot, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf and Decoy Octopus) grew tired of their roles as puppets to the government, and attacked Shadow Moses Island, a nuclear disposal facility.
During the course of the Shadow Moses island incident, Solid Snake (the player's character) encounters Vulcan Raven twice: once while Raven is piloting an M1 Abrams tank, and once inside a freezing cold warehouse. During the latter instance, Snake defeated Raven. In his final moments, Raven offered Snake a 'hint', telling him that the DARPA chief whom Snake had met had in fact been Decoy Octopus. He did not explain why or how he was killed, or why he was disguised in the first place, but declared that Snake would always follow a life of bloodshed wherever he went.
As he made this declaration, he was being eaten alive by his own ravens so that he could be "one with them."
Raven has displayed many abilities similar to magic, as he can control his ravens during the battle to attack Snake.

Solidus Snake is the leader of a terrorist group known as the "Sons of Liberty" and the third "brother" of the Les Enfants Terribles project, and is elected president under the name of George Sears.
He was born 1972 as part of the Les Enfants Terribles project, along with Solid Snake and Liquid Snake. Unlike his brothers, Solidus was endowed with a masterful balance of both dominant and recessive genes. Prior to his presidency, Solidus was involved in the Liberian Civil War during the 1980s, raising several child soldiers, including Jack (who would grow up to be Raiden) among them. He serves as the 43rd President of the United States under the name of George Sears up until the events of Shadow Moses island incident unfolded. Solidus commanded Revolver Ocelot into the incident, who was supposed to obtain Metal Gear REX. Solidus hoped to use REX as a tool against the Patriots, whom he loathed. With the revelation of the Metal Gear REX project and the Genome Army to the public (the events of Metal Gear Solid), Solidus loses the trust of his superiors, The Patriots, and is forced to resign his presidency.
After his resignation, he goes underground to avoid assassination, with the help of Revolver Ocelot. During this period, Solidus recruits the assistance of his former unit, Dead Cell, and Olga Gurlukovich's private army, establishing the terrorist group "Sons of Liberty". While posing as Solid Snake, he seizes the Big Shell and takes President Johnson hostage, in an attempt to gain control of Arsenal Gear and disrupt the Patriots' flow of information.
During the Big Shell incident, Solidus confronts Raiden twice. The first time, he takes control of a Harrier II aircraft and attempts to kill Raiden at the connecting bridge between Shell 1 and Shell 2. At the end of the battle, he loses his left eye after his Harrier is struck by the last missile. The second and final time Raiden confronts Solidus as at the very end of the game, atop Federal Hall after Arsenal Gear crash lands into Manhattan. During this battle, Raiden must engage in a sword duel with Solidus, as his other weapons are lost at this point.
Solidus is equipped with a powered exoskeleton that provides him with "superhuman motor skill capabilities" and is resistant to damage. His suit has an integrated accelerator which leaves a trail of fire behind after usage and is also supplemented with tentacle-like "snake arms", which Solidus uses to grab and crush or suffocate enemies. The "snake arms" can also fire missiles. The suit utilizes much of the technology developed for Metal Gear RAY most notably the artificial muscle tissue, which can be seen bulking up when before combat. Solidus' main weapons are dual katana blades, nicknamed "Minshu" and "Kyouwa" (the Democrat and the Republican), but he also uses an FN P90 submachine gun.
Despite being the youngest of the three Snakes, Solidus looks older than his brothers in appearance as a result of advanced cellular degeneration. He resembles Big Boss during later years, a fact which is further emphasized after he loses his left eye in battle and is forced to wear an eye patch. Raiden kills Solidus after their duel atop Federal Hall.
Fortune is a leading member of Dead Cell. Her codename refers to her seemingly supernatural ability to have bullets that come into her direction pass around her and also turn explosives into duds. She is also known as Lady Luck and has earned the title of "Queen" among her Dead Cell comrades. She is armed with a large-sized railgun during combat.
Born as Helena Dolph, she was the daughter of Scott Dolph, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and wife of Colonel Jackson, founder of Dead Cell. Helena led a largely uneventful life until the sudden death of her father during the Tanker incident in 2007. A few months later, her husband was convicted of mishandling federal funds and was found guilty; furthermore, Helena's mother committed suicide and Colonel Jackson himself died while serving out his sentence. Helena was unable to cope with the systematic loss of each of her close relatives and miscarried her unborn child of three months, essentially losing her entire family.
Helena was informed that the man responsible for her father's death was none other than Solid Snake, the mercenary allegedly responsible for sinking the tanker. In her search for vengeance, she joined the armed forces and found out that she is impervious to bullets. Because of this mysterious power, she was deemed Lady Luck by her comrades. She was quickly assigned to her husband's former unit, Dead Cell, and was welcomed with open arms by the team, especially Vamp, who was rumored to be her father's former bisexual lover. She was assigned the codename of Fortune and quickly gained leader status.
Fortune was one of the Dead Cell members who survived its liquidation, and six months later, on April 29, 2009, Dead Cell was involved in the Big Shell takeover. Dead Cell confronted alleged FOXHOUND member Raiden a few times, before confronting Snake personally within Arsenal Gear. Instead of killing Snake, Fortune took him prisoner and delivered him to Solidus Snake, leader of the Sons of Liberty (the terrorist group that seized the Big Shell). Shortly after, Revolver Ocelot revealed that the Big Shell takover was nothing more than a simulated version of the Shadow Moses incident and that Fortune's role in it was not coincidential. The deaths of her family members were planned by The Patriots and her invulnerability to bullets was simply the result of a machinery-projected electro-magnetic force field which surrounded her body; Ocelot confirmed the latter revelation by shooting Fortune in her chest. However, Ocelot missed her heart (as Fortune was born with dextrocardia) and the fatally-wounded Fortune stood up against him. When Ocelot launched missiles directed at her and the others with Metal Gear RAY, she managed to deflect them telekinetically, leading Solid Snake to believe that her powers and luck in the battlefield might not have been entirely due to the Patriots after all. Fortune died from her gunshot wound shortly afterwards.
Vamp is a member of Dead Cell originally from Romania. His family was killed when he was younger in a church bombing incident. It is believed he acquired a taste for blood, as he survived amongst the rubble by drinking his own family's blood, even though he was pierced by a crucifix. It seems that Vamp is a sort of supernatural being, as he can dash across, or even stand upon water, run up vertical walls, and he survived being shot in the head - in his own words, he can't "Die Twice". His name does not mean a short form of vampire; it refers to his bisexuality. A vamp is someone who seduces men. He is rumored to had been the lover of Marine Commandant Scott Dolph, and has a very close relationship with Dolph's daughter and fellow Dead Cell member Fortune.
Vamp is a master with knives of all shapes and sizes; in one instance he slaughtered the Alpha squad of SEAL Team 10 using nothing but a Bowie knife and a handful of throwing blades. He is incredibly fast, and one of his more impressive tricks is reading an opponent's muscle movements to predict where and when they will fire. Using this information, he is capable of avoiding entire clips of assault rifle fire. He is also an extremely proficient swimmer, and is capable of piloting a Harrier aircraft with no small amount of skill.
Raiden however, was twice successful in defeating him in one-on-one combat. The first victory comes in a room deep in Shell 2's core, where a heavily injured Vamp sinks into a pool of low-density water. The latter defeat occurs when Vamp attempts to take Emma Emmerich hostage but in the end is shot in the head by Raiden with a sniper rifle. However, he manages to survive and is sighted among the crowd that formed on the streets of New York City when Arsenal Gear collided with Federal Hall (he is seen standing next to a yellow car).
Ocelot is described as being obsessed with guns, cowboy films and spaghetti Westerns. This is reflected in his choice of dress as well as his codename and the weapons he uses - he is armed with two, or sometimes three Colt Single Action Army revolvers, which he wields with almost superhuman skill, being both a master of ricochet and fancy gun-twirling techniques; by the time of Metal Gear Solid 2, he seems to have attained the uncanny ability to draw his weapon and shoot any target in the heart in a split second. He also uses a technique known as 'fanning', in which one hand holds the revolver's trigger down and the other hits the revolver hammer repeatedly, allowing for rapid fire. He was inspired to use revolvers after his first meeting with Big Boss when they fought each other. Big Boss, who was under codename "Naked Snake". His hand gestures are a favorite among fans.
During Shadow Moses, after Snake confronts Vulcan Raven in a battletank, Raven calls Ocelot General Ivan (likely a simple ethnic slur towards Ocelot's Russian affiliation).
Often players complain that Ocelot's motives and actions are difficult to follow, but one thing must be remembered: his only loyalty has been to the American Philosophers, who later became the Patriots. He knows and obeys their commands, despite the role he may be playing at the time. Although he submits his complete loyalty to the Patriots, he is forced, against his will, into a vendetta against them; his body and mind are frequently taken over by Liquid Snake, who possesses Ocelot through his arm (itself transplanted from Liquid Snake's corpse).
It should be noted that the character model of the aged Ocelot bears a resemblance to actor Lee van Cleef. Van Cleef starred in the spaghetti western The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (among others), as well as Escape from New York along side Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken. It is also interesting to note that the character model of the younger Ocelot bears a passing resemblance to a young Clint Eastwood although clean shaven and with a buzz cut.
This is actually a match that I've thought about before, and a damn good one. Both are war veterans, both can be very stealthy should the situation arise, and both are great hand to hand fighters. Could Frank take the Metal Gear? If he had the same equipment as Snake, yeah. It would be cake. These two are definately on the same level. I say if they fought with no equipment besides their knives, and had to go across 12 miles of terrain beforehand, then it would be one of the best fights ever seen. I honestly can't pick. I'm a Solid Snake loyalist, and I'm a Punisher loyalist.
It's a draw.
