plot lines, same reason anti monitor didnt just kill every1 in crisis on infinite, same reason zero hour ion had to die to defeat the sun eater, same reason superman was able to deactivate megeddon. if people just went on power there wudnt be much of a plot. superman prime taking on the identity of superman is iconic and cant be rushed
