Why? Because it takes more time to decide between which power to use if more powers are available. Time that isn't there when fighting someone who is very fast.

Also Superman knows the that hammer is the source of a Bills great power. He can just knock the hammer away from him and stomp him accordingly. Or simply beat him to the punch (attack before he does).

you do realise this is DCnu superman don't you and not your made up KMC versus right?

I don't think that there was any timeline stated for it, but going by this cover I think Superman: Doomed will bring the doom to this relationship.

Don't be so sure; plenty of writers have shown that they don't give a **** about the relationship, and will have him interact with Lois inappropriately as much as they want.
