Which is one thing. I don't mind if people said he wouldn't survive the trip. My contention was that he would last longer than The Thing at the very least, if not the rest of them.

Aquaman would likely be the first fatality, followed by Samson, Thing, She Hulk, and finally Colossus..
thumb up

Very well put.

Not really the whole tungsten point is pointless given it’s melting point is said to be a little over 6000 degrees... to be specific 6192 degrees Fahrenheit.

Aquaman surviving in the earth’s core exceeds that. By over 3000 degrees. To be specific the Earth’s core is 9392 degrees Fahrenheit.

To even exceed that Aquaman has survived lightning several times over and as well has fought through it. Which gets on avg in the 30,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The only way Aquaman wouldn’t survive if all of his feats suggesting he would is ignored or if he’s bleeding out while he’s on Jupiter.

I don't need to read your post after your first line. I didn't realize we had a tungsten expert here though. I sure hope the expert slayer Magnon condoms isn't lurking in the shadows to kneecap you in your own field. I sure hope.

Yeah, he was casually tanking the reactor field on Breakworld that was hot enough to cause Ord's people to instantly combust.

He was also supposedly the only person who could touch the reactor, iirc, but I think that was because his metal was unique or something.

I mean all it takes is a google search mate it’s not that complicated you could look up the numbers yourself instead of going off what I say or anyone else. But then again I’d imagine it’s easier to just quote someone else’s post without doing any actual thinking on your own part.

No problem, I stand corrected. However Namor can survive lightning strikes as well, but has trouble with heat in general, or at least he used to before becoming an aquakenetic. I just assumed that temps that exceeded the heat of our native star would be too great for him. I mean in case you missed the part Jupiter's heat being able to melt tungsten. My comment wasn't really about tungsten, but about Jupiter's temperature in general.

Yeah I definitely understood that and definitely get what you meant. Tungsten probably wasn’t the best element to bring up given it’s melting point being so below the temperature of Jupiter let alone some of the stuff Aquaman has shown to take.

New52 onwards Aquaman’s heat resistance has been pretty impressive the only time he’s necessarily been to the point of being taken out by heat was when he was having blood loss in the desert and there’s an instance in Metal where something that was channeling the heat of Apokoliptan fire pits to weaken him was used. There’s also a priest instance but it’s not really as consistent or on par with his heat resistant feats.

Namor also has a history of being able to absorb lightning apparently akin to an electric eel and Redischarge it. It’s possible that lightning isn’t something that harms him due to the properties of it or it’s even possible that the heat of lightning is disregarded by writers which could be the case for Aquaman as well.

I’d mention though Aquaman took a prolonged lightning attack from his brother that lasted several panels. It could be possible the writer didn’t factor in the heat but Geoff Johns is also a guy who had him swim in lava with no Ill effects.

The reason that I placed the gamma mutates so high up on the board is because they can resist ridiculous extremes in temperatures. Recently She Hulk saved Thor from being frozen to death. I mean Thor has a history of being highly resistant to extreme temperatures as well, but She Hulk's resistance exceeded his.

I’d honestly question the consistency on the writer in particular more than anything. You’d have to factor in Thor’s high end feats in regards to temperature extremes and apply that to She-Hulk which by scaling if you did that I could definitely understand why anyone would say she’d last the longest assuming everyone didn’t last or they all went down one by one.

1.) I assumed it was standard Jen before the whole Savage-She Hulk getting a celestial amp. Before the whole Cates run I’d definitely see her as someone presented as more powerful than Thor.

But..

2.) I think Thor in recent years before Cates is questionable in terms of power. He struggled against Proxima and Black Swan. Which might just be good feats for them but I’d question that. He got his skull cracked by Immortal Hulk who was later on stated to be weaker than World War Hulk and even worse under Aaron the same writer about the instance your talking about Mljonir got destroyed by the sun if I’m not mistaken... as did Mangog

In reference the Sun and The Earth’s core are pretty comparable in temperature. Also a simple google search if anyone wants to fact check me.
