Nothing too unusual there. Darkseid has employed the usage of hand blasts before.

Durability wise. Judging from Reign of Superman, Hunter Prey, and Sinestro Corps anyway...

Lulz @ Reign of Superman. Superman just came back from the dead and was nowhere near full power. Even then, he still shattered Henshaw's body into a million pieces by punching through him and vibrating his arm.

Hunter/Prey is ridiculous though. We've seen Superman take Darkseid's beams enough to know that standing next to them shouldn't burn his arm.

Sinestro Corp doesn't prove a whole lot other than the fact that Henshaw isn't durable enough to stand up to a galaxy destroying blast.

Fanboy. laughing out loud

But seriously though, I've seen Henshaw's body shattered/damaged enough times to come to the conclusion that Superman is the more durable of the two.

Ya. But it wasn't as f*cked up as say... only half a head and a spine would be. I mean, we still got to realize that it would have destroyed the milky way.

What is that, like 200-400 billion stars? erm

Hell, was he even knocked out? shifty

You're playing semantics here that hardly makes a difference at all. A skeletal torso and head were showed, which still depicts the destruction on his body.

You can keep up with this "yeah, but... " nonsense all you want.

According to the manhunters, Henshaw was dead. Now, you can go along with Avlon on this one, which is an interesting theory, but not one I'm willing to buy into.

It's Omega energy similar to his eyes

Apparently it did more than his eye beams...

After Erads gave him some power, and Henshaw was weakened from K-nite, and shit?

Perhaps.

He took a Guardian attack before then, and was apparently beaten by three Kryptonians before that. It could have also added up...

Henshaw can regenerate though... it makes no difference to writers how bad they damage him up. If the same thing happened to Superman, they couldn't fix him.
...
Something like that.

Plus, they haven't exactly been put through the same things either. I know Superman has amazing durability feats, but how often do comparable things happen to them?

I'm just saying it's not as bad as previously touted. Apparently a galaxy destroying blast does as much damage to his body as a planet destroying blast did an arc earlier... shifty

'Yeah, but...' I never said that. I was just talking about directly after the galaxy destroyer. Just joking on his body composure.
And I'm not buying that either.

I think some on here are confusing Henshaw's ability to reform with his durability. How many times has Superman been smashed and his body destroyed. The reason Henshaw kicked the crap out of Superman in sinestro corps was because of the rings anyways.

Like I stated Supes has never withstood the full on omega effect and has had to deflect it and has never survived the omega effect. If Superman cant survive this neither can Henshaw. Supes imo is the more durable of the two. Its harder to kill Henshaw but its easier to destroy his body it seems.

Actually, the Manhunters said "life readings: negative", which isn't the same as saying "he's dead."

Manhunters don't have the ability to resurrect the dead, unless they've gained that since Henshaw took command?

What else could life readings:negative mean, then?

Believe he was dead if you wish. That's not how his life force works. Kill the body all you want, he can live in metal.

I mean, he lives in computers. Would the manhunters find life force readings in a PC terminal?

Well... they found life force readings after he was brought back...

I'm not sure how one would find life signals on something that has no lungs, organs, and is just a skull and spine. Henshaw has survived on far less before.

The Guardians knew that Henshaw, along with all the other Heralds have the ability to resurface.

The manhunters don't have a resurrection ability. If they do now..it's a hell of an upgrade for them...

In the same issue, the same was said of (no readings..he's dead) Anti-monitor...before he popped back up and killed a few GL's...

They found life signals, once he opened his eye...

Bringing essentially a robot back to life doesn't really... nevermind.

Hank isn't a robot...

I always did wonder about that with Optimus Prime though. wink
