That's her thong, AC.

that could be anything

looks like his computer-table to me

don't look too much into things

What are you looking at? It's clearly Capt. America's shield. You can see the star, the blue around it, and the red/white circles.

Though this strikes me as odd, because then why would Nick Fury suggest Iron Man thinks he's the only superhero in the world if he clearly already knows Captain America?

This would mean they're going with the line up of The Avengers that isn't the original, the Ultimate one instead. So they'll be battling Hulk as opposed to fighting with him. This makes Stark's alleged appearance in the movie with General Ross make all the more sense.

I thought it was his computer too.

I am not up to date on Marvel Lore, but, wouldn't anyone in the Marvel Universe that doesn't know Captain America be a giant yahoo?

Are you all blind?

Either it's a computer design of the shield, or it's his actual shield:

Precisely, so the error falls on Nick Fury's choice of words I suppose.

Again, my knowledge of Marvel is at least 10 years old. But could it be possible that Captain America is still frozen in the Atlantic and Stark (being an arms merchant and all) bought the Shield when it was discovered?

Fury's comment being just a figure of speech.

I suppose so, but I guess all this remains to be elaborated on when his movie comes out.

Perhaps his will end as Iron Man's begins, or something. Then in The Avengers, if it ever gets made, they go get him, or something. I don't know, I definitely know it's going to be Ultimate series, though.

How?

Because Nick Fury is black, and Samuel L. Jackson, in Iron Man's closing credits.

Ultimates Nick Fury was based on Samuel L. Jackson, with his permission.

There would literally be no point casting him as Fury if it wasn't going to be that continuity.

Well, they could take bits and pieces, create their own continuity.

Everything, as it stands, is pointing to Ultimates.

Not saying I'm right, just saying it definitely seems that way now. Stark meeting with Ross, Iron Man working with Captain America (Who wasn't an original Avenger), Nick Fury being black.

here's what i see

half a star, and incomplete red and blue circles, which would imply that either, he's building the shield(which makes no sense), or he's analyzing the shield to find out what it's made of, in the case of the latter, it would mean that Captain America is indeed(as Braddock42 said) still frozen and Stark just bought the shield

maybe Stark will make another appearance in the Captain America movie returning the shield to him... who knows??

Why not just say "You were right, it's Captain America's shield."?

He doesn't want to give you credit 😛

I heard about the shield, but never saw it until now... cool

I thought in the Ultimate Universe, Capt didn't get his vibranium shield until after they found him frozen.

I do agree about it being that Universe though, and it makes more sense since things were updated for better flow.

Have to wonder if Hulk will behave like Ultimate Hulk though?

Hmm, he'd be grey too, I believe.

Exactly what I believe.

Ultimate Iron Man is quite different from the Iron Man movie. The only similarity is that Nick Fury is African American.
