People that say that Cap 'only has a shield' have obviously never seen what he can do with the shield.

I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.

This debate has gone on forever.

Without weapons, Batman holds an edge in my opinion because he's got a lot more acquired learning/martial arts. Captain America barely demonstrates his ability to expand other than Judo and Kickboxing (and some third martial arts).

We also know that Batman has the "sleeping touch" that he's demonstrated in Superman/Batman and the latest Detective Comics; that might make Steve a little groggy. Also, Batman has a durable suit to counteract Captain America's strength; not to mention that the cape is flame proof, meaning that Batman could use his sorroundings to set the entire place in flames; it would hurt Cap a lot more than it would Bats. Not to mention Batman has shoulder BLADES built into the costume. You could poke Cap's eyes out with those things.

With weapons, Batman still wins. Captain America can do amazing things with the adamantium shield, but people have been known to deflect it; Spiderman brought the shield back 'round and gave Steve a good shield bump. I'm sure with all the adhesives and explosives and batarangs that Batman has, he could easily deflect the shield. We also know that Batman has a teleportation device so he'd move around and PLOT. The adhesives that Batman carries could probably hold down the shield like Spidey did in the Amazing Spiderman Civil War tie-in. Seriously, someone as smart as Batman with the right adhesives and projectiles could easily take the shield away from Steve. After that, Batman also has a laser torch that could probably cut Captain America in half and liquid nitrogen that would probably screw up the circular spinning for Cap's shield. Sleeping Gas could also take Captain America down permitted the area is small enough.

There is so much misinformation in that post...roll eyes (sarcastic) x100

But I do agree Cap's shield can be deflected, (by things such as Thor's Mjolnir)

The shield is a steel alloy-vibranium mixture. It's completely understandable to mess up what it's made of. It's been really confusing after all these years. Only extremely anal up-tight people would get upset with you saying it was made of adamantium. erm

Captain America show in with spiderman. To me that just proves that people with extensive knowledge and know out in the martial arts can put spiderman down. Dispite his 15 ton strength. And if cap can do it batman can do it alot more cleaner.

FYI, CA did not win that fight. He had a great start, but didn't win. In the end, the fight was clearly going to Spider-Man.

Back to this thread : CA wins. I don't understand why it takes so long to understand this => CA is more experienced, is at least as good a fighter as Batman and he doesn't tire. His shield makes up for Batmans gadgets.

CA wins most the majority.

Cap is stronger, faster, more agile has better stamina and is more durable than Batman, not to mention has more exp and has known Spider-man for years.

Exactly how does Cap's performance lead you to believe Batman would fare better in HTH against Spider-man?

Its not how much experience you have, but what you DO with that experience. Bruce took a few years to learn dozens upon dozens of Martial Arts; Steve learned three and decided it was enough to do well in the war. He spent most of his time living underwater for sh*ts and giggles.

spiderman said something during the fight he was not able to hit captain america even once. That is until he brought out the spider legs, that was when he manage to touch cap. Captain America had an excellent start, they did not finish the fight but I think cap would have won.

And yes batman is going to get tired, but it will not come to that. This fight would be over before batman starts showing fatigue.

How was cap able to go HTH with spider-man's suppose agility? And between Cap and bats I see batman as being the better martial artist.
