Cap is the superior field tactician. Besides, the man stunned the hulk in hand to hand combat. Could batsy do that? No. Could batman beat Giantman single handed without his damn utility belt? No. Could bats take out dozens of soldiers unarmed, while doped and tranquilized out of his mind? No. Cap wins.

Cap would beat any street level super hero. Oh but wait one minute... .......Batman has the "utility belt" !!!...The belt that has every possible bat gizmo to combat anyone he may run into....The belt contains some nice bat thingies...like a re breather,batarang,Hulk knock out gass,snake bite kit,smoke bombs,sonic bombs,light bombs,wall climbing suction cups,glass cutter,Bic lighter,Bat rope,handcuffs,compass,GPS system,Ipod,DVD player with 5.1 Dolby,Viagra pills,bullet proof bat shield,AM FM XM radio,anti shark spay,anti insect spray (Raid),bat laser.finger print kit,bat night vision,bat microscope,a little black book with Black Widows number in it,bat swiss army knife,cell phone with Wonder Woman's number on speed dial,lock picks and so on...........Where does he fit ALL those things in just one belt...I think he would need a Bat-Back-Pack!
Batman also has the "Files"......"Files" on both friend and foe!......How can you stop a man armed to the teeth with "Files"???!!!!!
With "Files" and "Prep" you can take out "real" super hero types like Superman and Thor.....Yes,It's all in the "Files"............
But Batman has mastered 3,568 different fighting skills....so what....Does this give him an automatic victory?...If Batman mastered Sumo,could he defeat the current world's Sumo champion in a ring???
If Bruce is so smart and so rich why not have a suit like Iron Man so he could fly just like a real bat?...This way he could leave the belt at home.
If bat gas could work on super heros then the Lex Luthor and Dr Doom types would have Pussy Galore fly over every hero with knock out gas and secure a win......
Captain America wins because he's CAPTAIN AMERICA!.....The key word is "AMERICA"........No street level hero or villian can beat him.....Am I just being too simple?
I don't mind if people think Cap can beat Batman, it's all opinions, I personally believe Cap has physical superiority, but so do a lot of people over Batman. Both of these guys actually smash up guys who are out of their league in one manner or another, whether through strength, strategy, or just their combative spirit as a whole. It was just the manner of that guys post was way out of line. He wins because he's Captain America? lol.
This is truly a battle of two of the best in comic history, who like in the avengers/jla story [though in broader terms than the simple h2h fight], will require every move and strategy and feint to come out of the bag to find a decisive winner.
My personal opinion is that Batman has the edge, when he has access to his gear in that it gives him a whole different element to the fight, where-as Cap pretty much still has to close to distance and win a fight against a near-equal, or throw his shield for a win. While Batman can fight at any range with all different types of variables, from several types of gasses and explosives, capsules, flashbangs, batarangs, ropes, darts, etc. etc.

Agree. When it comes to weapons, I think Batman has much more diversity in combat and that's why I think he would get a 6/10 (that's if weapons were involved).
In a regular H2H, I am convinced that it will be 5/10 for both fighters. Batman is the better martial artist imo because 1) he is definitely more diversified as a fighter and uses all kinds of variations in a fight, while Captain America, 95% of the time, uses only boxing, kickboxing and jujutsu. Steve knows a lot of different styles, but he almost never uses them. 2) Batman uses H2H more often while Cap is more reliant on the shield. Cap may be just as experienced in terms of H2H, but its like two equal pro gamers: if one plays less and one plays more, the guy who plays more will probably have the edge. But with Captain America's physical superiority, with encompasses everything from speed to strength, it evens out to 5/10.
