A well written Gladiator will kill superman, Gladiator is a warrior born race of supermen. If we are talking about a all out h2h combat superman will get his a$$ kicked every time.
Or how about him in Sacrifice moving faster than Flash and smashing the Justice League?
He even noted how he was faster than Wally.
On foot even.
And proved it.

Superman is currently on a level above all the Marvel Higher tier characters, at their peaks. All there greatest victories and feats are regurlarly matched every month of the year, in atleast one of Supes various comics. IMO

Superman is an elite favorite who carries his owns series of comic books and movies, etc.
He is almost always drawn and written at his best so not to loose.
Gladiator is not even that widelly known even though he is really insanely powerful, at full confidence.
He is not ever really drawn or written to win his battles and so he looses to people who he should be able to destroy with the flick of his pinky finger.
Its pathetic and it sickens me.
If Gladiator is shown justice by the writers then he is unstoppable, especially against superman.
Gladiator gives superman 100x the beating doomsday gave him, then "kills" him.
Superman will crush Glads.
Insanely powerful at full confidence? The jury is out on that one.
Superman has 4 books to maintain a month. If he is out crushing everyone in 1 or 2 panels, DC makes no money. Glads doesn't have that problem...hence, there should be no reason why he isn't always under full confidence if he is that powerful...yet, he still gets owned or beaten regularly.
And DD would beat the hell out of Glads.
