My post was not about stupid characters it was more directed to the fact that characters like thor and superman who were originally supposed to be mid to top tier heroes can get high end fts and not get called out "absurd" while hulk being able to bust a solar system or other impossible stuff(or atleast impossible to you) is called stupid when in the first place has been stated alot of times to be a monster of near unlimited strength/power from the very begining! Unlike superman who went from lifting cars and leaping to tall buildings gone to levels like Flying at FTL and Juggling planets all out of a sudden!....
When Superman was conceived, he was at the time, the hero. Back then, he was basically a god in comparison to the stuff out at the time. When Thor was created, he was the designed to be the most powerful hero in Marvel/being on Earth and was referred to as such multiple times, by both his creators/narrative and other statements from other characters.
Hulk being called the "strongest one there is" or his strength being described as "infinite" doesn't mean he can bust solar systems of galaxies. You still have to use feats and comics to support stances.
Yes you are right about Superman...but you can't honestly believe that is a good excuse to have a guy.who can leap tall buildings suddenly fly! That is no better then saying just i donate 1 billion doller to chairty i deserve to be a role model for people to donate alot of money to charity! Thor was made to be stronger than the Hulk! He was referred to be the most powerful one after he was created yes but that was just like how hulk was referred to be the mightiest mortal on earth yet he was beaten by Iron man,Namor and have close fights with juggy! Alright let me ask you...before Thor injured the phoenix wings would you believe he could do it? Before he pounded galactus head would you believe he could have done it! Face it if Thor was truelly the earth most powerful hero well he is rightfully a high herald to low trans...yet he still injures pheonix and galactus phyiscally who are tons of steps ahead
Superman, Hulk, Thor, they all got more powerful as the comics went on. Tank shells and the like could be damaging to them early on. Nowadays? They're no sold like nothing.
And yes, given Thor's feats, before he clipped the Phoenix's wings and recently crashed through Galactus' head, I totally would believe he could do those things if someone told me he would in the future. The guy has injured the likes of Odin, Surtur, Chaos King, Galactus back in the day, shattered Exitar's domepiece, one shot crippled skyfather+ beings, etc. Thor's always been able to give beings way outside his paygrade pause.
Given what we've actually seen from Hulk, it's ridiculous to assume he could bust a galaxy, even given Heart of the Monster.
And thats exaxtly my point Thor has those fts is what makes him slightly....ugh..you know what i'm just gonna make my point now.....

Thor is earth mightiest hero i won't take that from him but the fact you call it progression...tackling odin..okay....not bad..honestly nothing special i mean glads took on pheonix cyc well enough,Hulk knocked Zeus to or through a pillar..still none of this are special....but then we have the pheonix force,Galactus and other beings who are way above skyfather even for Odin(Headbutting galactus slightly legit i admit) the difference bewteen their powers are huge! Odin can go all out for all i care he aint beating galactus yet Thor does shit to him!? Yea!! Progression FTW.....It's not progression when BIG AND HUGE Steps are taken! But hey that ain't the beat part..after all.that hype he is still around surfer,glads,sentry and hulks level LOLOLOL!

Thor's crap is off the charts. It is just the way it is.
Here is the problem that comes with matching up a character against Thor:
There are a group of characters that have Physical feats that are at the top of the pyramid.
There are a group of characters that have Magical feats that are at the top of the pyramid.
There are a group of characters that have Energy Manipulation feats that are at the top of the pyramid.
There are a group of characters that have Durability feats that are at the top of the pyramid.
There are a group of characters that have feats of Destruction that are at the top of the pyramid.
And, I'm sure I am forgetting some classes.
But, there are only a few that have earned a place in all of these groups.
