No mention of Genosha (X-men 4 perhaps?)

X-men 3/Phoenix should (i.e. i hope) include:
Hank McCoy/Beast - filling in for Jean Grey (he could be an old friend of the Professor as well (plus now a third blue character, with FUR),
Piotr Rasputin/Colossus - the most appreciated cameo in X2; you need to have the classic dynamic between Logan, Nightcrawler & Colossus, as well as the fastball special
The Hellfire Club - Black King, White Queen & whoever else - c'mon now, we're talking Phoenix people,; any excuse to have a hot, 1/2 naked blonde ice queen (Emma Frost) running around, the producers will surely jump at

Beast would be awsome to have there, and gambit of course

and colosus will need a bigger role

by the way, Cyclops is leader for good reasons - focus & competenceas a tactician; as much as I like Wolverine, he's a loner & arrogant - not suited to being in charge
I would like to see Cyclops not regulated to bit player in X3

but beast would be cool

but they have to do a good job on the 3D animation for him to do really well, cuz if they do a sucky job then beast is ruined

I posted elsewhere Orlando Bloom as Gambit would be a good move.
They can do a rewrite of the mythos & make him a member of the Hellfire Club for X3 (White Knight?)
I don't care who they get for Beast, so long as it's NOT computer animated. If they can make Mystique & Nightcrawler work, they can make Beast work too.
The same is true for Colossus; some CGI can be used, but I want to see a real actor in make-up
X3 is packed with enough stuff if you do the Phoenix story- save the Sentinels & Trask & maybe Genosha for X4

It seems obvious to me that the next move the producers will do is spin off franchises from the movie - the only guaranteed home run so far is Logan/Wolverine/James Howlett solo w/ Hugh Jackman
Storm could also be done, mainly because of Halle Berry (though I don't have faith in that move - Catwoman looks like a dud to me)
The point of this post -
Should they rotate out different X-men in future movies ala the 60's era Mission Impossible serie? If so, how, who & why?

anywho this belongs to the x-men 3 possible synopsis, characters thread (jeez, we have to change the name...)

3/12/04) Bryan Singer and 20th Century Fox are reported to be considering filming both 'X3' and 'X4' back-to-back, with those movies potentially closing the book on the 'X-Men' movies as a team, but opening the door to myriad spin-off movies (with the first one confirmed to be 'Wolverine'😉.

I read this on th yahoo page. what do you guys think.
