If I wanted to read the Dark Tower series:

1) Is it... good? Throw any opinions at me, I'm still just considering it

2) Is it better to read the novels, the graphic novels, or should I do both?

You can read Dark Tower without reading the books, and it stands up perfectly well imo, but if you do read them you will get that extra information you wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

I thought they were a decent adaptation, all things considered.

So I recently started reading cataclysm... The supposed end of the ultimate universe...and it got me thinking...

Wasn't it once stated that marvel actually considered destroying the prime 616 reality and letting the ultimate universe take its place? This was back in the UU's heyday obviously.

^ Back in 'She-Hulk' #20(2005 series), something along those lines was stated...

"[The Living Tribunal] was passing judgement on our entire universe, and he asked me to speak on its behalf. You see, the Tribunal had discovered another universe, an Ultimate universe. One that was cleaner, simpler, and more elegant. The cosmic equivalent of a hot trophy wife. And he was weighing whether or not to replace us with it.":

...But like you mentioned: this was back when the Ultimate universe was still good enough to actually sell comics. Nowadays Marvel execs would shit themselves in laughter at such a notion.

Because if i remember right, she alredy affect Kitty Pride while inttagible with her force field.

Anyone know what issues DC Ares are heavily involved in and show some good stuff? Particularly interested in seeing if he does anything with using the Godwave? Digital if possible.

She has definitely been KO'd by TP through the field.

Songbird knocked her out by passing a sound construct through her field, after figuring that sound must pass through because she could hear Sue talking.

I'm pretty sure some light based attacks have worked, based on the field not stopping visible light either. Can't think of any right now. I'd guess Captain Marvel/Photon/Pulsar/Spectrum could get through it.

Gravity obviously operates through the field. I might guess someone like Graviton could affect her. She was certainly one of the heroes captured and held in his gravity field, so at least from that she didn't seem to be able to put a field up and escape.

Trying to think of magic attacks. I know she's had her ff power shut off by magic then captured, but that's not quite the same. But I'd bet at least some magical attacks would work.
