Not sure where would've been best to mention this, but I figure the top thread would work.
Starting tomorrow, I will be out of town with no computer access, so I'm afraid I won't be able to participate in role playing during this time. I should return and be back to playable status sometime after the 16th. If any of the current RPs I'm participating in kick off or get moving again during that time, I apologize of my absence will cause a stall. In the mean time, take care everyone.
Since we don't have an actual discussion thread anymore, I guess it's okay to use this.
By the way, I won't be posting anything until the weekend because of work and stuff. If I need to post a reply or someone wants to ask me something, I can reply before then. But as far as the plots to my rps, information about other stuff, and actual posts for an RP (like the new ones coming out) which includes character sheets... that will all be dealt with this weekend. For those who signed up to Hazmat, the game is underway. Time to make your intros, those who haven't and re-post your bio with final details if you wish.
Remember that character sheets are your characters as of when they enter the hot-zone. The current story is a few minutes prior to arrival. I have altered the story slightly from how I originally planned the first part.
Well immature... Figure out a place for you to post an entrance and I'll try and drag you in... Kicking and screaming. I have set up a plot that anyone can follow if they like in Vamp RP, and if I leave anyone can pick it up, continue it, drop it, start again... But just remember it is all in fun, and I understand that when I leave (if I leave the game again, I mean) people may be incapable of continuing the plot I started, and making it their own (which happens a lot, guess some of you are lazy lol). Prod/Rant over.
And if you don't like the story going at the moment, work with me to change it, end the world to start again, or who knows. But don't 'not play' because 'nerr I don't liiiike ittt'. Just sayin' yo.

Zhu Shang Qiao rp
So I have an idea for an rp that would take place in science fiction/fantasy universe I've created over the past few years. The setting as a whole will take long to much for me to type up, but I can give a quick summary of the central landmass the rp itself will take place on (though the characters don't have to be from there)
It's a planet about twice the size of Earth only instead of orbiting around a sun it orbits a dimensional nexus making it pass through numerous different dimensions and planes of space as it goes about its orbit, meaning any given day what you see in the sky could be completely different. There are numerous countries with different types of people and technology, the one in question is called Zhu Shang Qiao. Long ago the planet passed by Earth's dimension but in a rare event it was in kind of a shadow nexus of it, allowing parts of them to share the same space. During this a large tribe of early hominids wandered into it where they began to populate and evolve differently than humans on Earth (with some help from a magical being). Those were the peoples ancestors, over the thousands of years their bodies have adapted to the mystical energies and as such their chi is much more potent and mystical in nature. For unknown reasons it had stronger effects on the women resulting in the warrior class being almost solely female with only a few males serving in the military. As such they have a female centered culture although males are still held in very high esteem and tend to handle economic affairs and business as well as farming. To the appearance they look like what we would call east Asians although many of them have features that indicate mixed ancestor, and almost all of them have alien dna in them from long ago. They have a very warlike culture, combat capabilities are deemed very important as well as ensuring their children will have great traits from their parents. As such intelligence is also highly regarded since they need smart people to keep the economy strong and develop better weapons. On the average street it is very common to see fights that result in one or more deaths, the law enforcement only going to make sure that the fight was agreed on, before moving on since personal disputes are encouraged to be handled through combat.Their architecture is a mix of various ones, a Chinese ascetic on many of the building's exterior with a more western European interior. Their technology is different from ours but not exactly primitive, through magic and chi they have electricity and instant/mass communication (nothing like the internet though) systems. They travel across land and air using a variety of domesticated creatures outfitted for their specific tasks, and travel across sea with metal ships powered by cauldrons of pure chi.
All throughout the land and it's colonies is a unique type of energy that blows within every living thing, this special form of chi has shaped life there with natural abilities of magical nature as well as a deeper connection to the environment. The vast majority of the land is kept the way it has always been, jungles and grasslands cover the land with a few large cities and small villages scattered around in ideal locations for minimal environmental impact. It is ruled by a matriarchal monarchy with their Queen holding all of the power and her family members handling local tasks to small for her notice. The female dominated society is also notable for using magical means to reach a technological level on par with modern Earth tapping into their powerful spells and natural energy to accomplish great tasks at an environmentally safe cost (such as using beasts for almost all forms of travel).
As for the rp itself it will focus on a group of people brought hired by a rich unseen benefactor in order to collect some relics for him from around the Zhu lands. Where it goes from there is up to the choices that are made by the players, although I'll be guiding it in certain directions as a result of them. The rp will use a quasi stat system, not with dice rolls but merely something to make it easy to note what a character can and can't use or learn and how they'd match up etc. I won't have a character myself persay but will be play all the needed npcs which if characters end up spending a lot of time with them, will obviously end up being essentially me playing the characters.
