* sure he is, but not in a cosmic-level... here's an excerpt from wikipedia:
quote: Quicksilver is a mutant capable of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. Originally capable of running at the speed of sound; exposure to the High Evolutionary's Isotope E made it possible for the character to run at supersonic speeds of up to Mach 5 and resist the effects of friction, reduced oxygen, and kinetic impact while moving at super-speeds. The character's speed allows him to perform feats such as create cyclone-strength winds; run up walls and cross bodies of water.

That was ****ing impressive.
I really want to know how fast QS is now.
Going by his feats he is able to run at X Mach speeds.

Quicksilver ran halfway across the globe in 92 Seconds
How fast is that? Isn't that about 12,300 miles?

halfway round the globe = earth circumference/2
@ equator cimcumference = 24,901.55 miles
@ through the poles = 24,859.82 miles
>> using the smaller figure, average speed 's'=D/t
>>s=24,859.82/ 92 =270.2 miles/second
or 972775.56 mph
which is Mach 1263 ! (assuming speed of sound = 770mph @ sea level)

thus in this feat QS was travelling at an average of :
Mach 631.67 !

Do we know what his top speed is yet? Can he reach lightspeed?

Quicksilver has always had feats that are crazy.
I once saw an Avengers Comic where QS completely searched through a large group protesters outside looking for a badge that indicated they were part of a secret group without any of the protesters knowing he searched them.

Current Quicksilver was cruising at light speed or pretty close recently. I'd say it's safe to assume he can hit light. Maybe he can even go faster, who knows.

Shit thats faster than light. My only thing is that it could be a bit hyperobolic I don't think he has any other feats that are that impressive. Sure you got mach 600 feats but thats still alot slower than the speed of light.
