I see something that got retconned in classic X-Men #7, Which was a rerelease of the same story by the same writer later on that depicts events happening differently.

The retcon means the events of Uncanny X-Men never happened.

Here take a look:

Uncanny #99(June 1976)

Retcon takes place in Classic X-Men #7(March 1987)

Claremont wrote both issues.

The events as they occured in 1976 were over ridden by the events in 1987.

That;s what a retcon means.

Go pick it up.

Then I suggest you pick up X-Men Classics #7 which retconned that. It doesn't depict her contorolling solar winds. but using her backpack manuvering thrusters.

Sorry, that's the current continuity. She never in continuity used solar iwnds in that situation.

You denying it doesn't mean the retcon didn't happen. Sorry, no solar winds (Which weren't even depicted in UXM#99 anyway. Just the writer who knows nothing about physics, who changed what happened in the retcon.) smile

Nothing else but that diverges from the original story soooo.....

Go pic up the book nd stop holding on to a damn dream.

We don't see her doing anything but solar winds.

You're the one that's holding onto a dream. Sorry, it was retconned out of occuring

http://img154.imageshack.us/my.php?...n0712oq0ic9.jpg

Not that it was ever accuratly depicted in the first place, since her space suit would have been fried off of her if she summoned a stream of super heater plasma to her... Which she clearly didn't do.

IT was just Claremont misunderstanding the misnomer of "Solar winds" which have nothing to do with wind. smile

Deny it all you want, but it was retconned, and you're the one holding onto something that never happened. smile

Yea, but Classic X-men and the original for her summoning millions of whole stars(not just the solar winds) go hand in hand so obviously "physics" don't matter when Storm uses her powers.

HoF expertly thrashed Exoduscloak in that other thread about this so-called retcon.

Here.

I'm guessing that was pointed to rutog's post since it was pointed to rutog's post. But how does storm's ignorance and delusion's of grandeur prove anything?

Sorry, but like I tell other people, unless you're a credible source your words without proof do not constitute as evidence. Storm saying she'll evolve into a godess doesn't prove anything.

and I didn't see anything that proved the retcon didn't happen... so keep grasping at straws:

There were no solar winds

Can't dispute the fact that the Galactic core is in continuity which is>>> than a mere solar wind.

You also can't dispute the fact that all Uncanny #99 show her manipulating what?? OMG! a Solar Wind.

CC wouldn't retcon that for scientific impossibilites and have her doing something even MORE grand which is also in continuity AND he also has her mentioning the prior Solar wind feat in that same issue.

Lobdell was just the icing on the cake.

She is mistress of the Cosmic storm.

You lose.
