Thor did become like Odin...well kind of. Current Thor is rather embaressing IMO, if I was to ever become a fan of his it wouldn't be based of his current run. Anyhow aren't you the one who's claiming Thanos could take Odin in a rematch, although I bet ur happy that Thanos is now some abstract level ocnsort to death....which is a very unfortunate turn of events IMO.
There is no way Superman can be exciting being that powerful. Have you noticed how his sales lag when he becomes too powerful. why do you think DC keeps reinventing him. One reason why Nearly all of Marvel's uber top tiers do not have books is because of the ridiculous feats they perform. It's hard to write for them. It's one reaon why Thor has to turn into a brawler. And who wants a DC universe where superman is more powerful than the combined might of the JLA. that would suck so bad. I'd have to start reading Dark Horse.
If Thanos is abstract, then how will he be badassed? It's not like he'll need to use prep, or prove how durable he is. He's a low level abstract now. Instead of a bad assed high level villian.
I disagree, look as AS supes...and c'mon the SS books were not that bad im always tired of people shitting on his series. People like powerhouses but it depends on how well they are written, it is possible to write for skyfathers and still make it compelling. WW may have never that problem but she is a bit of gimmicky if u ask me...like which # upgrade is she on right now?
We dont know how powerful Thanos is now. Just like with Darkseid until he shows us something in fc. I like that Thanos is dead. Worst thing that could happen to Thanos is him being overused like dc has done with Darkseid.
You're putting way to much into that"upgrade"of Thanos which IMO didnt really do much for him. You're underwhealming thor's current power, sure he might not be his father's son but he is supposed to be skyfather right now.....well minus that Rulk disaster.

Ds has been in countdown,dong,firestorm,two superman and batman appearances,and fc right off the top of my head in the past couple of years. That is overkill if you ask me.
There not new powers, supes is resourcful and just finds new uses for his existing powetset. His versaility comes from his innovative use of his powers...hes not like WW or SS that has plot device upgrade. Thats the biggest proble with WW, shes just to gimmicky to be looked at seriously untill they establish some consistency with her.
He's one of DC's main villians so what else can you expect. A example of being over saturated would be logan or Hulk. As for Thor, he did inherit the odinfoce so technically he should be like his father except younger.
Her trinkets are gimmicks...all these upgrades are just overkill. I understand her significance for the female demongrpahic but c'mon...sometimes enough is snough.

Supes is one of the most resourful top tiers you can find, he doesnt need constand upgrades to make him interesting such as a certain silver character.
