And I know this will be beyond your comprehension as You have shown before a lack of understanding metaphors and analogies.

One of the main elements in Lucifer comics is the actual dilemma he has into knowing if He acts by pure free will or if He is indeed just obeying the will of the creator.

But this probably went "WHOOSH" over your head.

He rejected his offer and escaped the Presence's function for him.. That's the whole point and at the end he finally did so. You didn't read the series.
