Street Fighter - A new adaptation

quote:
Legendary is ready to unleash a sonic boom, with the studio acquiring the film and TV rights to the classic beat-’em-up game Street Fighter. The studio will work with video game company Capcom on future projects.

While the first Mortal Kombat film had that certain edge over the Street Fighter film that came a year before it, would be an interesting turn of events for this to be a better adaptation than the recent MK reboot, which wouldn't be hard if there's no studio mandated original character as the protagonist.

That said, like Cary Tagawa as Shang Tsung, Raul Julia will remain the best performer as Bison no matter who they get to play him now.

Wish I had more confidence in this otherwise, but considering the track record live action Resident Evil's mostly always had and now Monster Hunter out of Capcom's series, approaching this with caution.

^ I know that they haven't picked anyone yet, At least Paul W. S. Anderson isn't involved. He needed to stay away from Capcom game adaptations.

^^^Add Christopher Lambert as Raiden for me.

But yeah, I’d watch a Street Fighter remake why not?
