Yes I agree with all of you

and Wilofthewisp..I totally agree with you on that compass thing. LOL!! you know what! I think it pointed to Jack because here Norrington called her smile into question and suddenly the whole thought of having feelings for Jack errupts in her mind..and I think thats the thing that clearly dominates all other thoughts because she WAS just totally smiten with him after that sexual suggestion..she didnt look at it to see if he put her on the dutchman..how can it answer a question like that? It cant and she knows it cant..she's actually asking herself if she DOES want Jack...when someone is in denial it actually makes the feelings for that person much larger because it means they are constantly on your mind..and the more you go into denial the more you start to become infatuated..which is probably why Jack is so far ahead of Elizabeth in this respect..he realized it pointed back at her in movie 1 and set off in the other direction..and he's been thinking about her since way back then and its totally taken him over by the time we get to movie 2

Everyone left thinking that Jack had not learned anything from the adventure..well thats BS because every character has to learn at least something..And Jack has left knowing hes found someone special..and i LOVE IT!..I mean Jack Sparrow the ladies man is totally smitten by a woman..even in movie 1!..that is a HUGE thing to end movie 1 on where we see how someone has actually got to Jack someone has penetrated past his shell of material objects..which explains the dog in movie 1..slowly being tempted by the bone when its only one person tempting him..but he leaves without it..he wants love but is not ready to take..which is what we see at the end of this movie and through out movie 2..

I wish they left those damn scenes in..it would have made it all the more clearer AND movie 2..

the man LOVES how she betrayed him like that..and this is why hes so frigin turned on at the end of movie 2 because shes done it before and he loves it about her..and I WISH they left that scene in I really do..

so Jack being angry in movie 3 because she betrayed him? BULL!

Check this out. It was on wikipedia.

"Jack considers himself a ladies' man, explaining that he has a, "tremendous intuitive sense of the female creature." However, he is seemingly unable to commit to a long-term relationship, although Elizabeth Swann seems to be the first woman Jack is unable to forget. Interestingly, in the novelization of the second film, Jack tells Elizabeth that he likes marriage because it is, "like a wager to see who will fall out of love first.""

Wonder why that line is in the novelization? Could that mean that the scene was longer and we saw a cut version? It's just such a funny way to describe marriage, even for Jack. It's almost as if he's daring her to marry him, which is kind of hot.

In this pick..as soon as she says "it is" (where her heart truly lies) notice how Wills face is totally not even in the shot..you would have thought if it was meant to look as if she had chosen will and it was an emotionally strong statement that these 2 were meant to be then then why is it only Jack and HER in the shot? Its as if its saying.."no it belongs with Jack..but she just doesn't know it yet...."

Also you would think that If movie 1 was about making Will realize his place in life..you would think that would be what he's most happy about..but no..he's actually helped Elizabeth realize how good it feels to be a free pirate too and she has completely made him infatuated..and THAT is what he smiles about..its like its saying.."yeah he helped Will..but hes learned something a whole lot more interesting by the end of it"

willofthewisp..I think they cut that line(if it was ever in the script) out because they made that scene more about "sex" more than anything else..Elizabeth only seems to be interested in sex and not her wedding day really..and if that line was there it would contradict the main theme..which is "Liz is gagging for sex" IMO

I also see that line as how Jack really views marriage..its pretty bleak..as in if you get married there will no longer be any excitement in the relationship and they will fall out of love

Good point, LovelyOne, but it is JACK that says it. I wish I knew where it fit into their conversation, but that could have been the thing to make her get up and be disgusted with him, like if it followed the suggestion that he could "perform a marriage right here, right now." Horny bastard.
But it kind of reveals a lot about his character, specifically that he sees marriage as a challenge rather than as an inconvenience. That's very interesting.

yes that is true.

He may have said that once she got up after the digusted look she gave him..because it was clearly about sex in that scene IMO..then he may have said something serious about marriage..

The way he says it "I could perform a marriage..right here..right on this deck..right...NOW!"..to me..the second I saw that i thought..OMG he's on about sex..but after that the convo turns a bit more about how theycould work together in the long run..so maybe thel line was right after he made that sexual suggestion and she got up.

and dont you think its so cute that he spotted her looking sad and wanted to comfort her because he cares about her and her happiness?..when does he EVER do that for anyone?.you wouldnt think Jack with his big ego would never risk letting people see he is caring about a womans feelings..but for Liz..he will big grin

yeah that was totally sweet..I know this is off topic sorta but I read something that is supposed to be the script of the POTC3 trailer and I really didn't believe the 56 page script I read but this was really believeable it was on that threat "jack's dad-KIETH RICHARDS" or something like that and there was this shot when jack sorta had to be saved by barbossa and I'm so bummed right now cause iwould really suck if jack has to be saved from sinking in the sand by BARBOSSA liz would have been nice...even will would've done it..but barbossa? I mean in the said shot jack is all like "I don't want to be saved by the likes of you." and barbossa is like"and I don't want to be saving ya but i don't see any sea turtles coming to your rescue" still jack has to accept...
though it could be fake..I mean IMO the script was either a REAL early draft or completely fake but when you read this it maked TOO MUCH sense

yes, you're absolutly right... that's so cute!

...but have you seen when he sits down next to her he looks at her face...then she says she is soo ready to be married, his eyes go deeper on her like as if he's imagining how she would look like nacked and then he starts thinking to make her the "marriage propose"...or am I wrong?

I think she's thinking of sex in that "I'm so ready to be married" scene and he then responds to her thinking of it..like what we saw with the persuade me scene..

she was totally horny when when she said to him about being able to handle a sword...why did she feel the need to go up so close behind him and whisper in his ear and say the words so sexually?..LOL..

if she wasn't being sexually driven there she would have probably said it out loud and went in front of his face...and would have said it in a different tone but no she says it quietly in his ear so that no one can hear whats on her dirty little mind the hussy lol joking

and then Jack actually picks up on the fact that SHE is the one who is suggesting sex for once which is something she NEVER does, this time so he takes it to the next step..he is DEAD serious..and incrediby close and forward to her when he responds with "as I said..PERSUADE ME" .and this knocks her backwards..usually she has something feisty to say but she totally realized how serious he was. she walks off and we see that she's secretly smiling about the fact Jack has just stepped it up a notch..

hahaha yeah SOOOOOOO much tension in that scene. LOVE IT. they are hilarious together...

i love how Lizzie is ALWAYS trying to impress him. Like saying things like "Will taught me how to handle a sword" or how she acquired the letters through "persuasion" or flaunting her knowledge of "he did say something about a chest".... she's trying really hard to be "in the know" and have information that Jack wants--- she wants to prove to him that she can play the game as well as him, be as sneaky as him, as persuasive as him, etc. she's trying to live up to his standard. that's hott.

yeah I think so too she always wants to prove she's as good as him..why else would she even SHOW the letters to jack , she knew he wasn't gonna buy the whole thing and if she wanted it for will she should have kept it a secret until they found will but she wants to show that she got the leter herself and give jack a hance to appreciate her and accept beckts offer

I agree with you kate..

but I also just think the girl is just horny.plain as lmao...she was robbed of her "wedding night" in her own words and she was looking really forward to it and then she gets ripped away from dear ole Will..and along comes a tempting waffle..she can hardly resist..and whats more..its not just sex..feelings begin to develop..thats why the compass points there big grin

I was so surprised that Disney implied that a sword was a "pecker"..laughing out loud..and the fact that LIZ said it..she has spouted a sexuality all of a sudden..and its not because of Will lol..when do you ever see such a sexually confident woman in a Disney movie?

yeah its so true.... Liz is hott under the collar the whole film, and being completely CONTROLLED by her physical desires... ya know? its like she cant even think straight or make good decisions.... she's at the mercy of her emotions/physical needs.

I'm really, really into the whole scene in Tia's hut... it is just SO significant. its so telling of each character.

jack already has all the information... he's just snooping around stealing things and refusing to ask tia about the black spot or why his compass doesnt work... LOL... he is so proud! he hates asking for help. i like that. he's just so independent. and he hates to be lowered in front of his crew---- like when Gibbs and Pintel and Ragetti freak out about the black spot... you can tell he is really uncomfortable because he likes people to think he is like, immortal.... ya know? like nothing bad can really happen to him???

Will is just so interesting in this scene. when Tia says the line "what service may I do you?" she is directing that line at Will. AND Jack makes sure Will is sitting by Tia. I dont know... Tia just seems really INTO him, and Will seems really INTRIGUED by her... not saying anything is going on there (cause Will is still in love with Liz there) but Tia is pretty mesmerizing, ya know? Like when she touches them, she could be pulling something we dont know about.

AND the final scene... when they are all there... Will and Tia have another little moment. And why does Will suggest they go get Jack? that STILL bothers me--- he has NO IDEA Tia can bring people back... or does he???? thats what makes me think there may have been a deleted scene between Will and Tia, where he finds the voodoo doll or something. Or that Tia has given Will some sort of secret information. I dont know. It just seems totally random and out of character for Will to just all of a sudden think they might be able to bring people back from the dead.

Did Liz still have the compass at the end of 2??! Cause Jack had it when he was rowing away... but was it on him when he went down??? i never can tell. I wondered if maybe Liz pawned it during the kiss or something.

i LOVE this theory kate!! big grin

and i also have a feeling that the compass will also play a BIG part in movie 3...its too big to miss out. Maybe jack will confront liz about it?

We ALL know there is going to be a confrontation between the two in the 3rd film, and they will get eachother where it hurts most, but where it matters most also.

But this is why i LOVE the pairing! They feel attracted to the parts of eachother that they ultimately shouldnt.

They are almost complete polar opposites (shown in the curiosity scene) ..and yet they both want eachothers freedom.
And this is why it works so well for them, and the writers obviously know this...

T&T are clever little sausages, ill give them that!!! eek!

In order for us to try not to interpret the ending, they need to encrypt everything...
but also, they want us to overthink things, because they want us all confuzzled and doubting our own theories...i bet they love it!

HEY I JUST FOUND OUT SOMETHING!

Hi, I'm so very new here and I just wanted to say that you guys have so wretched open my eyes to show me the wonderful possiblility of Jack and Elizabeth. I was dying because I knew all these crazy Will/Liz fans were right about a stupid fairytale ending with the Whelp and Lizzie, but then I stumbled apon this.

You guys have really helped me in realizing that Jack/Liz is POSSIBLE! And most likely to happen too. Thank God!

But there is something I'd like to share with you all. You know that part in Pirates of The Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearle, when Elizabeth and Will and Jack are on the ship and Barbosa is attacking them?

When Will got trapped in the cellar place, and Elizabeth and Jack were talking. He spun her around and they croutched down to talk. Then she tried to slap him and he refused and blocked her.

HE REFUSED TO LET HER SLAP HIM BECAUSE ALL THOSE OTHER GIRLS SLAPPED HIM, BUT HE DIDN'T WANT HER TO BE "ONE OF THOSE GIRLS".

She's his Lizzie, and he wouldn't let her become just another girl in his life.

Yay.......I'm so glad now.......that I got that out. It was burning me inside.
