Agreed. He's the one Spidey rogue I never really liked. I've never understood peoples fixation on him (and I've really tried to get into him).
No Ock either. I love him, but he's had too much spotlight already IMO. He's the antagonist in the best Spidey film to date and the antagonist in the best Spidey game to date, and he was nailed in both (not to mention his alternate version in Spider-verse). Last thing I need os Ock overexposure like Joker in Batman media. Both Bats and Spidey have other villains.
I would love to see Green Goblin be done right, but Norman needs a few movies of set up and Harry needs to be introduced too. Save Goblin for Pete's college days.
I'm up for Scorpion or Kingpin (preferably Kingpin). Kingpin with some super powered henchmen would be perfect (and it's exactly what I've been asking for since before Homecoming). You could even include Tombstone and Hammerhead for a proper criminal underworld power struggle in the city. End Spidey off on a big threat that graduates him to a higher tier of hero as he graduates high school (he should be a senior by now), but not GG or Ock big.
But now i’m thinking of a Spider-man franchise done MCU style; slowly building the mythology and adding characters...
Spidey was like a soap opera when it started, and I think the teases from movie to movie would have been great.
A stinger w. “Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot”, pure gold.
I really wanted this too but they have to explain where the xmen was during infinity war and same with deadpool. They also have to introduce Adamantium
They might create their own version of the x-men instead of merging whats already there to make it fit better
