Less methane from cows adds to the greater whole process of reduction. There's no one item solution, a lot of things need to change. More cars going electric, more homes using solar panels to supplement energy needs, cleaner mass transit etc.
I guess you really will justify anything that remotely fits a narrative. If they chose to cremate the dead and deny any more burials to clean up the environment as a late night court drama joked you'd probably justify that too.

It's very sad. Lahaina Town was beautiful. I spent 6 nights there. The island will be fine. Stuff grows back so fast there. The people will have a hard time for awhile. But not because of climate change...

Honestly, it might be too late regardless: and at the heart of everything is our use of power. We would have to almost give it up completely to erase our footprint.

Not saying we should do that: I don't think that's possible or realistic. I'm saying that's honestly at the heart of the climate change rule.
Would mankind be better off with a smaller population, natural small scale communities with sustainable ways of life and probably no Internet, no corporations or larger national governments? Yeah probably. Never ever going to happen though.

The lights in your home are already doing that. It's still cleaner for the environment if you supplement the energy they use with a solar panel or two on your roof.
