1000 Corpses Coming This Halloween

"I just saw Rob Zombie in concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. He mentioned that his film, House of 1000 Corpses, is set for a limited theatrical release during this coming Halloween season. He showed a rather extended collection of clips of the film during the show. It looks like nothing I've ever seen on the big screen, gore-wise. There is an operating room scene where a guy's face gets pulled off....another where a car trunk is opened to reveal a girl tied up naked and she is apparently cut and strangled. One of the most gruesome included one of the main characters, Otis Firefly, pulling off a mask (a human face, presumably the one removed in the operation room) and says "The boogie man is real...and you found him". Mr. Zombie didn't elaborate on the new distributor that they are using, after the fallout with Universal".
