'The Lion, Witch And The Wardrobe' Get Writer

Ann Peacock (Emmy-winning "A Lesson Before Dying") will pen the feature adaptation of C.S. Lewis "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," reports Variety.

Walden Media partnered with the C.S. Lewis Co. in December to option seven-part fantasy book series "The Chronicles of Narnia," of which "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" is the second, and best-known, installment.

"The Chronicles of Narnia" series has sold over 60 million copies and is currently published by HarperCollins.
