I'm not sure that I find animals scavenging for food in people's parlors and fridges particularly amusing. However, this is the premise of the movie. Raccoon steals food from bear. Bear threatens to eat raccoon unless raccoon gets food back. Raccoon then tricks other forest animals to steal from humans in order to save his back side. Here comes the moral of the story - he couldn't possibly betray his friends and repents of his ways.

Yawn.

I guess kids will be very entertained by these furry animals running around the neighborhood making a nuisance of themselves, playing dead before making a fool of an evil woman who hires a pest control man to get rid of them. I will say that they should all have been caught and put into a national park where they cannot harm themselves or others.
Yawn.

Having said this, to be fair, part of the big problem is the fact that humans in never ending quest to expand has taken over a lot of the natural habitat of the animals. So I guess this movie is one way animals get back at evil humans.

Applause.

Otherwise, the turtle (Steve Carrel) was really cute. The raccoon (Bruce Willis) was annoying. Even worse was the squirrel. The Skunk was kinda of charming - reminiscent of the Looney tunes skunk that has an infatuation with a cat. The kids will enjoy this film as they would enjoy any CGU animation. Kids on a whole are very easy to please, you don't see them complaining too much as long as they see a few furry cute animals on screen.
