Wainwright To Take 'The Outer Limits' To Big Screen

Rupert Wainwright has signed to helm MGM's bigscreen version of 1960s anthology series "The Outer Limits," reports Variety

"Limits" was revived on the small screen by Showtime and the Sci Fi Channel.

It's the second foray into MGM horror for Wainwright, who helmed the frightfest "Stigmata." Wainwright takes on a film that the studio hoped would lead to a feature franchise when MGM hired scribes Gerald Di Pego ("Phenomenon") and sons Justin and Zachary to write the feature earlier this year.
