Jon Ameil Is To Direct 'Seconds' Remake

Helmer Jon Amiel ("Entrapment") is in negotiations to reteam with Paramount Pictures to direct "Seconds," reports Variety.

A remake of John Frankenheimer's 1966 film starring Rock Hudson, "Seconds" is a psychological thriller that unveils the consequences for a man who trades his life for a new identity and gets more than he bargained for.

Though no start date has been confirmed, pic is expected to start shooting early next year.

At one time, "U-571" helmer Jonathan Mostow was eyeing pic but subsequently disengaged from the project.
