Joe Roth To Direct Tim Allen In 'Skipping Christmas'

Joe Roth has signed up to direct Tim Allen in the comedy Skipping Christmas, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The movie is based on the John Grisham novel and is adapted by Chris Columbus.

'Christmas' will see Allen star as a man who decides to skip Christmas and all the surrounding trappings and, instead, go on a vacation with his wife. But when his daughter decides at the last minute to come home for the holiday, he is forced to put Christmas back together.

Production is expected to begin in April.
