Spy Hunter is to get writer Zak Penn (

X2) to adapt the video game for director John Woo, according to Variety.
The film will star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the adaptation of Midway's long-running vidgame franchise.
Movie follows the story of a former F-15 pilot recruited to become a member of Spy Hunters, an elite government agency that must defeat a cartel seeking world domination.
Spy Hunter is being developed for a 2005 release.
