For decades now, the in-universe logic has been: more rings=more power... But that has obviously never made any sense at all.

It doesn't matter if you have 1 ring or 10, they are still only as powerful as their user's will/imagination... And since having additional rings does not inextricably bolster your will/imagination by proxy, the notion that they'd instantly make you more powerful is just a huge contradiction/fallacy.

From an in-universe standpoint, the "benefit" is: more rings=more power. That's the 'logic' DC established a few decades ago, when Hal first went rogue:

I'm just saying that given how Lantern rings work, the notion that additional rings would instantly make you more powerful represents a huge contradiction/fallacy. The only thing that would truly make a Lantern more powerful is increased will/imagination... And putting a few more rings on your fingers obviously doesn't give you more will/imagination by proxy, lol.


As for using their personal Batteries in such a way: that's against GL policy. The Guardians made GL rings with very explicit protocols in place regarding the duration of use and such -- they time out and deplete for a reason. If Lanterns used their Batteries in the way you described, you'd essentially get Krona's Gauntlet.
