Should i forgive Italy for the wars in 101, 102 and 106 AD against the dacians that lived in Romania? They came with swords'a'blazin' killing, murdering, raping, etc. etc.
They caused oh so much pain and sorrow, and i can't get over it. My second cousin's aunt's grandmother's father's father's father's father's father's father's grandfather's cousin's great great great great great great great great great grandfather died in one of those battles
Should i forgive Turkey???
Should i forgive Turkey for the countless battles against Romania and Moldavia during the middle ages back when Moldavia and Romania were called (by the rest of Europe, including England) THE LAST GATE, as in the last obstacle keeping the Turkish Empire from taking over Europe? While the rest of the countries orgasmed over inventing handkerchiefs my grandmother's uncle's second wife's mother's great great great great great great great grandmother was accidentaly hit with a rock by a turk in one of those battles and she died.
Should i forgive England???
Should i forgive England for promising to send reinforcements during the 1st World War in the fight against the germans and doing nothing more than blowing each other while Churchill made every mistake possible and not giving a damn, with only the French sending reinforcements and instructors? My classmate's great great great cousin's wife's brother's mother's neighbour's great great great grandmother's father really really hoped they would, but because they did nothing, he got killed.
Should i forgive England???
Should i forgive England because Churchill completely ignored what he SIGNED for together with Roosevelt in the Carta Atlantic ? The whole "The US and GB desire no territorial expansions or areas of influence" + "The US and England desire no territorial changes that would fail to express the free will of the people in interest" + "The US and GB respect each people's right to choose the type of regime they wish to live in and desire that after the war all deposed governments be returned to power".
Should i forgive England because Churchill ignored what he himself signed and during 1943 and afterwards insisted that the only way Romania can leave the war is by unconditional surrender? Should i forgive England because Churchill asked Roosevelt as a personal favor to give the Balkans over to Russia (which Kennedy admitted to?).
Should i forgive England because the brittish people chose a man that was a depressive? (don;t believe me? read about his "black dogs")?
Should i forgive England for allowing churchill to give Romania and the rest of Eastern Europe to Stalin in october 44 to Stalin and Russia, signing on a whiskey stained tissue?
I can just go on and on and on and i'm not mentioning America because i have to leave for a while.......
A well summed up point Wickerman. History is full of persecution, war and every other bad thing imaginable. There has NEVER be a time of true peace. NEVER been a nation that could truly be said to embody the good parts of humanity. Yes, history is full of all that is bad, but also at times people standing against it, trying to do what is right. Ying and yang. Eternal struggles and all that.
Holding a grudge against some some long gone nation achieves nothing. Learn from the mistakes yes, so that one day history might have a true golden period of equality, peace and joy, but really maintaining a rage forever would actually work against the unlikely day when such a thing could happen.

Hmmm. A good point. A near prehistoric big cat. Ultimately it would be up to you, though I certainly don't see how not forgiving it would have much of a big impact. I guess at least it wasn't a sentient society, but rather natural selection, still not good. Personally though, if I were to blame something at the time I'd go for the ice age.

Gender: Male Location: between apathy and indifference
Enough with the Holocaust pics.
Whirly, you are taking a horrific image that should make people think about the atrocities committed by man, and making it an image of annoyance on a forum through repetition and irrelevance to a subject.
Way to belittle something that you made out to be so important to you.

And sometimes pushing your agenda causes a backlash. If you make so much noise to prove your point, your point is often ignored because people can't stand the yelling.
