Thats right dammit,....erm when you post your next feat list could you include the url to page 18, man if i knew you were constructing one i would have waited so it could be all on one page for easier reference for all for debates.
I remember a while ago doing a Fun-With-Numbers estimation on this feat; it came out to something like 320 million cee, at least...
One year = about 32 million seconds.
To cover 1 lightyear in 1 second = 32 million cee.
How long would it take Thanos to throw a punch? 1/10 second?
To cover 1 lightyear in 1/10 sec = 320 million cee.
But again, this speed is a bare minimum. What if Thanos could throw the punch in 1/100 of a second? Or 1/1000? Now we're talking billions of times lightspeed.

As a point of contrast, consider the feat where Flash carried 532,000 people to safety, each involving a round-trip distance of 140 miles, all in 1/10,000 of a second.
532,000 x 140 = 74,480,000 miles in 1/10,000 sec OR
744,800,000,000 miles in 1 second
744,800,000,000 divided by 186,282 mph (lightspeed) = 3,998,239 cee.
In other words, Surfer (in his intercept Thanos' punch from a lightyear feat) was moving about 8x faster than Flash (in his evacuate all those people in a split-second feat)...at minimum.
No disrespect to Flash intended. Just contrasting the two feats.

In the Flash's feat he was moving just under lightspeed. In fact, it was stated ON PANEL, that he was going under light speed. No amount of math will change what the writer said in BLACK AND WHITE.
Absolutely correct, I agree: it was stated on panel. But mathematically it's still wrong, which means the writer either chose to ignore or not do any math, or more likely, he just wrote whatever came to mind...which certainly wouldn't be the first time a comic was written that way.
