See how Thor's spinning the mallet in the OP? That hits the island and it's gone

The Amazons have a choice.
Death or orgy.

Lets go with no interference cuz, well, thats not what i'm asking. wink

Don't forget Circe. Additionally, the Amazons have arrows, swords, and other "God-made" weapons capable of piercing herald durability.

In Supergirl's case, magic may have played a role, but it hurt Diana too. Equip Cassie, Donna and others with stuff like that, and Thor has his hands full. He really needs to open with big, exotic attacks, because a traditional fight plays into their hands.

And depending on how loose we're being with the term "Amazon", there's any number of female heroes who might be on the island training or somesuch. Supergirl, for example. That may be against the spirit of the thread though.

Also, all that assumes pre-boot continuity.

Thor can win this. He has ridiculous amounts of one-manning armies.

too be fair, diana trounced her, pretty easily, later on and it's been shown a few times that diana is considerably more powerful than hippolytra. /shrug

the problem with the amazons is they are often not much more than fodder. that same amazon attacks arc had black canary handling them 1 on 1 at times and her scream ko'ing 4 at once. numbers could get thor i suppose, enough spears and arrows, but if he flies and blasts lightning or fully charges his hammer to level the island, there isn't really anything they could do to stop him, i don't think. i thought of circe too, but she wouldn't be very likely to help, and if the gods aren't allowed to interfere (though they would, in a comic, 100% of the time) then they don't have too much of a chance imo.

Even with Hippolyta, Donna Troy, Cassie, and Artemis, Thor can win.
The other Amazons will be fodder. He takes on huge armies with frequent regularity.

Isn't it a magic island?

I mean, I don't know, maybe it is just a hunk of land, but always assumed it was magic like Olympus or Asgard, which Thor wouldn't destroy so easily..

Oh, I'm not claiming she's better than Diana. Just pointing out she's presented as more than typical background fodder.

I agree in general, but I was including the "important" Amazons. People like Hippolyta, Cassie, and Donna are logically pretty threatening with divine weapons. Back them up with Amazonian Legion support, and I stand by my original thoughts. He'd need to open with something big/exotic, as just coming down to brawl isn't the best plan.

Regardless, riv said this is current Themyscira. Doesn't sound like they have much of a shot.

i def agree with the idea he couldn't brawl and win. he'd be overwhelmed in a hurry. he'd need to go big, but assuming he knows that, i don't think they could do much to stop him if he were really serious about ending them.

You could be right and it wouldn't be easy at all but Thor's got some serious striking power when he lets that hammer fly.

I'm sure a Rule 34 Google search on Supergirl could fix that for you.
