Gender: Male Location: Planning to take over the WORLD!
that's an interesting take. he was at one time an expression of the fear everyone had of nuclear weapons and uncontrolled science. but he has changed so often and had so many incarnations going back feels almost disingenuous at this point. i almost agree with sin--thor and hulk just feel really rudderless, and have felt that way now for....a few years.

Thor doesnt have any focus. He's just drifting from issue to issue without solving his inner problems. His ownage by Nick Fury has lasted way to long. And although i liked Jane he suffered for her to succeed. That's not how you treat legacy characters. They should have just killed him off again instead of forcing him and us to endure a mjolnir-less Thor.
Hulk has been the same...Pak destroyed the character. He's been all over characterization wise. Atleast he was dead during most of Chos nonsense but i think hes going the right direction now. With his solo series. More grounded. More horror inspired, edgy banter. It's a good take...
If you think about it, a sun is supposed to be able to kill anyone who’s power level tops out at mountain busting level.
Mangog could never destroy a planet or a moon with a single blow or even after several blows.
The pressure in the core (I don’t know the pressure outside the core but inside the sun) is about 2 billion tons per square inch. Pushing a hypodermic needle (with with 50lb. of force) through something gives roughly 1600 tons per square inch. So Wolverine (who supplies more force) could easily be applying tens of thousands of tons of pressure when he is stabbing something. The hardest man metals known to man can’t withstand such pressure. The tensile strength of titanium is just about 35 tons per square inch I believe. That’s why Wolverine can pierce most shit with his natural strength. It makes sense.
But that is a far cry from 2 billion tons per inch. If Wolverine can cut something then there is no way that thing is surviving the pressure of the core of the sun.
So dying in the core of a sun is not a low showing. It’s a stupid showing for a character (not capable of casual planet destroying) to resist the core.
Recent Mangog wasn't tougher than Thanos in my opinion.
Certainly stronger and more powerful but given how Thanos took a skydiving Mjolnir slam and Mangog took Mjolnir to the chin, Thanos came off looking harder to hurt to me.
I'm sure this isn't the intent of the topic, but didn't Hulk win because the Destroyer saw them as the same person (since technically they were) and took Hulk in too and he won the..... whatever you want to call it? Unless I'm wrong about how it went, you didn't specify against it, so hypothetically it could happen again (but I can also see it not being Professor Hulk it not seeing them as the same)
Or is current Hulk not even Banner? I haven't caught up.
