For someone like Spidey, an upgrade to SS type levels would be 50+ upgrade.
Perhaps the Unipower doesn't quite work by multiplying powers as in Gladiators case.

why not? its only logical...can we not asume (lets say)..spiderman can beat galactus with the HOTU? of cource we can...spiderman never had the HOTU but its simple logic.
of course, but going by gladiator when he had the unipower, it seemed to do nothing except make him look cool, so we can also "assume" that this could be the case with SS as well...... do you see where im coming from?
The thing about it is, that when Spidey got the uni force, he had unlimited strength. Now that wouldn't really show on Gladiator, because he strength is so jacked up anyway when he's confident. But if you give that strength to Surfer(or even a fraction of it since Surfer can already increase his strength via power cosmic) then SBP's strength advantage goes right out the window. So even if it didn't actually multiply his power by 50x, it's reasonable to assume that if it put Spiderman on Surfers level, that it would put Surfer on SBP's level. And if Surfers on his level physically, then the fact that Surfer could weaken him with red sun radiation should give him the win.
