Looks like there won't be another Terminator movie till 2019 when the rights go back to James Cameron, as the other planned movies have been scrapped.

Doubt we will be getting a Terminator Movie from Cameron at the moment, He's more invested in the Avatar movies.

^ Yeah he's made it clear he's not interested in going back to Terminator. But he will probably sell on the rights again and give another company a shot.

I personally don't understand why people expect more from a Terminator movie.
Yes, the storyline of time travel got convoluted & created contradictions but that's because no one realised a franchise would be made after the sequel.

Nah, it hasn't aged well. And as I said the acting isn't great.

this movie has its good moments and its bad. Emilia Clarke was the best part, i think she nailed the part of sarah. arnold was typical, wasnt a stand out performance. all other casting were forgettable. and the CGI was complete shit. being pg 13 also hurt this movie.
in all though, i still kinda like this film, it wasnt that bad.

People keep hoping the magic of the first 2 Terminators can somehow be found again in a sequel. But seems without Cameron, that's not going to happen.

I can say that this is officially the first Terminator movie or tv episode during which I fell asleep. I woke up 45 minutes later and continued watching the rest.
According to some of my friends, I didn't miss much.

I found Emilia Clarke to be a bit miscast. She's too small and feminine IMO, they should have went with someone more butch.

Yes, we know Benedict Cumberbatch would've played a better Sarah.

So Arny has said he's making another one. (Didn't make it clear it would be a sequel to Genysis but I assume so).

Anyway hopefully they learn from Deadpool and stop being scared to make this series R rated again.

If they make it R again, I'd be fine to even have some of the Genysis cast back, as I'm sure they could do better under different direction. Of course after the previous post-T2 films, I'm just glad to have others like Sarah back at all, despite the problems some may have had with Emilia's casting.

How is a R rating going to improve or revamp a cliched story line?

They need to do something new with the Terminator movies, I get Time travel has been its thing for a while but its time for something new.
