Don't know really why they need to put exact figures there anyway. It's not like they have any meanings in comics.
They put 3 tons in parenthesis so people would no going around saying she can lift 10 tons I guess. Some handbooks give exact strength levels and some just put them in classes like 10,25,50,75,90,100, & Incalcuable. Those are the official classes.

Ah ha!

Marvel has already retconned the Other laughing

Seriously look at his powers display

It states that he gained his stingers at the same time as he got his organic web shooters, BEFORE he joined the avengers

Whatever, im just pissed off that he still has those retarted stingers mad

No writer ever uses the stingers (usually), so "meh" to that, as far as I'm concerned.

Placing spidey in class 25 means his tsrength is no longer just 15 tons anymore , they will evnetually publish his proper lfting ability i ... i hope . I will be happy as long it is 20 tons or over , but at least this means spidey could very well be able to lift 25 tons now whcih is gud 4 me and him

When DC gets his Spidey Respek thread done, just call it "The Comprehensive Thread of what Spiderman has ever done."

I'm going through pre-emptive withdrawal of not being the chief contributor to the Spidey respect thread. But it's a good thing...kinda like watching you're kid go off to college...

...or something?

confused

...

Anyway, I've been feverishly hoarding stuff for another sweet thread to take its place (like my "rebound girl", so to speak, to stay in the realm of connected-but-strange analogies). I can't compete with thousands of scans, but a few hundred will have to suffice (originally, the Spidey thread launched with about 100....so it's a start).

So, just to keep things updated...I have done to year 1975, it's almost a third of the finished thread. smile However, the finished thread is going to be long, I am already written 37 pages of text in font 11 (lot of copying and pasting though, but half I have written with my own hands). Hosting images is a pain in the ass but luckily I found the Imageshack toolbar thingy that lets you host like 100 images with one click, you just need to wait.

Here is what your typical feat looks like:

[Year: 1972] [Feat Type: Spider-Sense] [Impressiveness: 3]
[Link:] http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/7646/feat14ssqe2.jpg
[Comment:] Spider-Man’s spider-sense is so delicate that it even tells him when to reach out when falling…and when Spidey listens to it, he succeeds. Even when he is blind, like in this picture.

So there is the year, feat type listing, impressiveness rating and all the other stuff...I have also marked really good, or cool, or just feats that I plain like with recommended marker, like this:

[RECOMMENDED]
[Year: 1974] [Feat Type: Fight] [Impressiveness: 5]
[Link:] http://img49.imageshack.us/img49/85...t5fight1sd1.jpg
http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/...t5fight2ws2.jpg
[Comment:] Spider-Man beats Ock in exactly two pages. This is probably among the most one-sided fights the two have had and shows again that when Spidey pisses off, the playtime is over. Recommended for sheer ownage.

So if you want to skip the generic feats, the stuff that Spidey does everyday, just keep scrolling until you see red. wink

You're not posting them all using the "direct link to image" function on Imageshack are you? ... it's so annoying ... the "Show Image to friends" option is much better for resizing the picture to your screen size.

It's not being ungrateful. It's simply advice based on our experiences with scans.

according to marvel.com spidey's official new stats are
"Peter can cling to most surfaces, has superhuman strength (now capable of lifting 20 ton optimally) and is roughly 18 times more agile than a regular human. The combination of his acrobatic leaps and web-slinging enables him to travel rapidly from place to place. His spider-sense provides an early warning detection system linked with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him the ability to evade most any injury, provided he doesn't cognitively override the autonomic reflexes. His powers have recently been enhanced after his transformation from the Queen to include a stronger psychic alignment with his environment, especially with other arachnids and insects. He can now create organic webs from his wrists, limited by his body's health and nutrition. Various glands within his arms can produce different types of webs - from drag lines, to sticky nets, to cocoons. Whereas his artifical webs typically decayed within 2 hours, his organic webs can be more persistent (depending on the thickness and type of web) such that web lines may last a week and web sacs may last for months or more. Recent new abilities resulting from his rebirth after battling Morlun include night vision, increased sensory awareness via vibratory patterns transmitted on his web lines, and twin retractable stingers within his forearms. He can use the hairs on his body to detect subtle changes in the wind. His skin's adhesive ability, previously concentrated mainly on his palms and soles of his feet, is now more greatly present throughout his body including his face (previously used to prevent undesirable mask removal) and back. "

http://www.marvel.com/universe/Spider-Man_(Peter_Parker) they did not say much about his speed just agility but nonethlessi hope this is actually official , does anyone have a scan of the new bio from teh back in black handbook it woudlmake a nice addition to this respect thread , showing the development in his bio's

I decided to use direct link because "show image to friends" takes a bit longer time to load.

Besides, your browser doesn't have a resizer? I just need one click of my mouse and it automatically switches between original size and the size that is my screen size (in the direct link to image too)...if you don't I suggest you get the latest version of Firefox, it has it.
