It's a vampire god. When standing fully up, it dwarfs Blade and is around the size of an elephant. The feat is arguably around several tons. Wasn't the Block a chi block though? Didn't he use his chi to disperse the damage over his whole body?
No, I'm just specifying. It's less of a brute strength feat, and more of chi feat. I don't think that feat should've been compared with a strength feat from Blade. Blade has more raw strength than Shang, whereas Shang's chi amping strikes can even than out.
Personally, I never thought Shang-Chi was human level, and I think he wins the hand-to-hand fight. I think their stats are around even enough, with Blade having the edge in durability and equipment, so he would win the standard equipment fight by virtue of actually having equipment.
I think the panels afterwards explained that he managed to distribute the force equally over his body. Don't think heat had anything to do with it, but it could be argued that it's chi manipulation feat. In marvel chi is hard to pin down it's mystical/magical and can overlap with physical since you can do physical damage, I guess.
Yea you could certainly make that argument.

Blade can do both. Blade doesn't just block a bullet, but he uses it to free himself from handcuffs.
Blade is simply better than Shang, has better feats, better powers and abilities, better standard gear, better in every way. There's nothing Shang can do against Blade's combination of speed, skill, strength, superhuman senses, and healing factor.
Every time this thread gets topped the Blade argument continues to stomp.
Reviewing this thread so far, and being a much bigger Shang chi fan than blade fan, I don't see Shang winning here. At the most generous, you could argue that their stats are comparable, but Blade's damage soak and healing ability are much more effective. I see Shang losing a long, good fight.
Additionally, I think Shang's fight against the Welsh dragon presents an insanely good durability feat: whether he was going to be able to land, he literally got hit 10,000 feet in the air and was only dazed for a short spell. That's very impressive.
And his feat against Hiroim was both impressive from a chi-blocking and speed standpoint. The fact that he intercepted that punch from being on his knees behind hiroim's bull rush AFTER the delay imposed by taking the first hit himself? That's at least Cass-level, that is.
Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
