Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince CAST - Rumors, Suggestions, etc.
Thought I'd make this thread as casting rumors are abound.
Naomi Watts, Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend were all debunked, although their removal isn't final...
First: Who needs to be cast? Assuming that some characters will be left out, of course...
*Rufus Scrimgeour, Minister of Magic
*Narcissa Malfoy
*Horace Slughorn
*Muggle Prime Minister
*Marvolo, Merope, and Morfin Gaunt
*Fenrir Greyback
*Hepzibah Smith
*etc.
Me too. Although we might be all be in the theaters watching thinking to ourselves, "What the heck is Davy Jones doing in Harry Potter?"
I like what he said about him being the only actor in England not having have been in a Harry Potter movie.

I think Bob Hoskins would make an awesome Slughorn.

But then JK Rowling said on the Jonathan Ross show that there was a role for him in DH - and I've been trying to figure out who she meant - maybe Xenophilius Lovegood? I dunno - did anyone watch that, and wonder? What are everyone's ideas on the book 7 role that Bob Hoskins could have that JK was referring to?

Oooh, I just remembered. I think it would be awesome if they could have Judi Dench as Neville's grandmother. Even though they probably won't include her in any of the movies, I could so see her as that character.

I think she would make a good Hepzibah Smith as well, come to think of it. She just needs to be somewhere in these films...!

I like Tilda Swinton as Narcissa, and Bill Nighy as Scrimgeour would be amazing. I read somewhere that Jim Broadbent could be Slughorn, and that sounds like a fantastic idea.
Totally agree saying that david jason would make an excellent Albus Ive said it for years when are they going to retire Gambon he just has never cut it as our dear Albus for me,
Brian blessed would make an excellent Fenrir I remember him in Flash gordon ( I promise Im not ancient lol ) he'd be great at it.
jim broadbent would be the best choice for slughorn if you read the discription of him in the book he looks like him and whats the deal with gambon are they getting a new dumbledore i thought he was pretty good
