psylocke's mind was sent into a body of a japanese ninja/assasin right, then the assasin dies in psylocke's body, so how can psylocke still use her powers, i meant the mutation/x-gene is in her body not her mind,
can any one help me out here, and what did her old body look like?

i thought that too, but then i was thinking, the new body wasnt a mutant, so it wouldnt have the x-gene, so the brain would have developed the psychic powers

Kwannon/Revanche (who Psylocke switched with) was a mutant...
UXN says of Psylocke: Psylocke was originally a telepath, had limited precognitive abilities, and was a psycho-blaster, able to direct mental energy as destructive mind blasts.
Matsu'o later commissioned Spiral to exchange Betsy's mind with the assassin Kwannon, and Psylocke gained a new Asian body with depleted power levels and the ability to generate a psychic knife in Uncanny X-Men #256. After Kwannon died in X-Men #31, her full potential returned.
Revanche's powers (courtesy of UXN):
Low-level empathic abilities allow her to feel the desires of others, body-switching gave her telepathy to read and project thoughts, generate stunning bolts of mental energy, and forge psi-blades of various sizes to physically and mentally disable her opponents
can psylocke teleport, coz in a game, marvel super heroes, psylocke would get sucked up into a purple circle and appear at the other side of the screen

When Archangel and Doctor Strange saved her life using the Crimson Dawn in Uncanny X-Men #330, Psylocke manifested mystically enhanced fighting skills and shadow-teleporting powers.
Months later, in X-Men #78, Betsy was forced to shut down her telepathy in order to keep the Shadow King trapped within her mind.
Later still, in an as-of-yet unexplained incident, her telepathic powers were transplanted into Jean Grey in exchange for Jean's own telekinetic abilities.
Poor girl, she's been altered more than an "Extreme Makeover" patient...
The tattoo is a side effect of her Crimson Dawn experience... (see attachment)
Hair color(courtesy of UXN):
Naturally blonde, dyed purple (european body)
Naturally black, and either again dyed purple or altered by Spiral to be permanently purple (asian body)...
Currently, Psylocke appears to be dead, as her physical body was run through with Vargas' sword, and her spirit was apparently captured by some mysterious being before crossing over... (please log in to view the image)
See the skeleton-looking thing behind her?
It's been theorized that this "creature" took her somewhere...

It depends on how you look at it...
As these are "imaginary" characers, never having lived to begin with, none will ever truly be allowed to die, as long as they are still valuable to the company...
However, many are ret-conned right out of existence, or, so unpopular, that writers "kill" them off and leave them that way...
So, in conclusion...
Marvel's universe, Marvel's rules...
Death need not be permanent, but sometimes it's the better alternative...
Bucky, Mockingbird, Captain Marvel, Swordsman, Dr. Druid and Thunderbird. I actually have the first part of the Count Nefaria story where Thunderbird dies. Nifty cool, if I do say so myself.
yay, i was waiting for u to post, hmm ok, thats strange, coz in evo she has that name, but they got other peoples names wrong, and in legends, magama has allison, but they got other peoples names right (the ones evo got wrong)
