Everyone loves a good horror movie. Aside from the inspirational wonder story the scary story is everyones favorite kind of story. I would argue this to be true in most cases even if people are aware of it or not. The classic horror story is one that we're hardwired to listen to. It's a very black and white, simple structure. There is something bad...,something "scary" happening to someone else. It immediately makes one start listening because everyone can relate to, something bad that happens in their life and we can all certainly relate to fears. Most horror movies just suck at putting a face on that "bad" thing. The thing that is often placed in the spot of the "bad" or "scary" relatable thing is generally just a gimmick or marketing ploy instead of a genuine observation or statement. I probably completely over thought that but I think you guys know where im comin from, yeah?
